Negative experience: I would not recommend this agent. From the moment they took over management, the level of service declined drastically. We were consistently treated with disrespect and made to feel unimportant as tenants. Communication was a major issue; emails were often ignored or met with delayed responses. Since moving out at the beginning of June, we have yet to receive our bond back, which is completely unacceptable. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Graeme Clark! He was so wonderful to deal with. He was a breath of fresh air compared to other agents I've dealt with. As a buyer, I loved that he wasn't pushy at all. He really listened to all my concerns and worked hard to negotiate a fair deal for both myself and the seller. Thanks Graeme!

Negative experience: Currently 12:52 am, got home an hour ago to my apartment building managed by this company. Currently locked out due to issues with the keyfob system, have previously had issues with the keys themselves as well. The building is 137 Carrington street and is owned by the builders who developed it then managed by this real estate agency. I have called their emergency line as well as my main real estate agent 49 times to no answer. Previously when issues with their key fobs have occurred I have been told to stay elsewhere, yet with a chronic disease / disability it is challenging to do so when you need to trust that you can access your home and the life saving medication within that home. This review will only be removed once appropriate costs have been paid back to myself due to having to stay elsewhere. It’s a joke.

Negative experience: Nadine appears to believe in her abilities well above what is delivered and does not respond to instructions. As the agent rate is excessive what is delivered is poor and as a landlord of 30 years with 17 properties would recommend that this agency is avoided. Better service is available elsewhere.

Negative experience: My new property manager Nadine S defined my 1 bedroom duplex as a 2 bedroom house when she proposed my new rental increase. She showed me other 2 bedroom houses in the area to justify the increase. My pleads for her to understand South Australian rental laws and regulations on what defines a room were going unheard. Very upset about the way things were handled. A simple apology and owning up to the mistake would have saved the bad review.

Fantastic experience: Selling our house couldn't have been easier! Graeme, our agent, made the entire process stress-free, meeting all our requirements without any pressure. He's truly a top-notch professional. We've had the pleasure of both buying and selling a home through Magain Real Estate, and on both occasions, we were extremely impressed with their exceptional service and attention to detail.

Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough of Glynis. She was helpful, reliable and patient with my questions! She went above and beyond in helping secure selling my house.

Negative experience: I found Glynis hard to talk to and was very unhelpful overall the management of my rental property was very badly managed and was aloud to be left very dirty.Appatently this was ok Glynis told me as it was not a necessity to do a end of rental clean eg.carpets, windows, dust basically left my rental an absolute mess and was apparently ok.

Negative experience: From the moment one of their agents replaced our original, we were treated like trash. Acted unprofessional from the moment of takeover. Took her time responding to emails that come with attitude and a lazy copy paste response. Our first communication with her was receiving a pdf response to a question she could’ve answered in two seconds. Always made us feel belittled as tenants because we didn't own the home we lived in. Worst years of our lives.

Fantastic experience: After an emotional tussle to buy a house being sold by Glynis Williams fell short, Glynis (recognising our situation relocating from Canberra to SA was not going well) took it upon herself to find us the most wonderful rental property until we found our forever house. She helped the owner who needed to rent out a semi furnished, unique home on a short term lease at short notice while saving our butts too. In the past, we have had agents who we actually purchased a home with totally ghost us as soon as they had their commission. Glynis didn’t need a commission from us to be thoughtful and to go more than the extra mile. Even now as we are planning to move into our new home, she shows commitment to kindness and communication. Negative experience: Avoid. Debt collectors came calling on me when City Realty repeatedly failed to pay an invoice on time. No corrective action was taken by City Realty to fix the issue.

Fantastic experience: Glynis was absolutely phenomenal an absolute God send. I cannot sing her praises enough. I was with another real estate agency who allowed my Tennants to get months behind in rent and didn't bother to try and rectify the situation. I called Glynis for help and even though she wasn't my agent at the time she was extremely helpful with all her knowledge and took her time to thoroughly explain everything to me. As it was a long process she called almost daily to make sure I was doing ok with all the stress caused from the previous real estate agency. Negative experience: I recently had a terrible experience with this company. I wanted to renew my office lease several months in advance, but they were completely unresponsive. When I called, they had no information about me, and in the end I had to find a new office due to their lack of assistance. Absolutely terrible customer service and would not recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Very professional firm and people. They do regular inspections, provide photos and great feedback which we haven't experienced with other property managers. They are always proactive and provide us with great peace of mind over the management of our property.

We raised our concerns regarding a potential leak in the roof during ingoing inspection, which he ensured was addressed swiftly and also credited us with 7 days worth of rent as compensation. Negative experience: I don’t usually write reviews especially negative ones but I feel obligated to put my story out there. This has been the worst experience with an agency that I’ve ever had as a tenant and I’ve rented 10 properties across 3 states over the past 20 years. To begin with, the property manager never answered her phone. I will share an example where there was a quarterly inspection scheduled, I was away and asked with plenty of notice to reschedule this inspection as my cat was at the property and previously I had always been told by the agent that I must be present when a pet is at the property. So I had always taken time out of my schedule to be there but in this instance I was interstate. As the agent wouldn’t allow me to reschedule I had arranged for my uncle to be there who drove across town at 8am and waited most of the day but no one showed up and when the agent finally answered the phone it was moved to the following day but again no one showed up. Three days running this happened and in the end I was asked to submit photos as an inspection. No explanation or acknowledgment of their complete incompetence, it was incredibly unprofessional. Toward the end of my tenancy I was contacted by email, quite rudely, by another agent presenting them self as the agent I had dealt with over the length of tenancy. That was a whole other uncomfortable experience with this amateur South Australian business. There are further incidents I could explain and have done to the manager but I am left with a very sour taste as I was fed a pile of excuses. Never have I experienced such an incapable agency and I have experience with quite a few.

Fantastic experience: It was an experience dealing with City Realty. House hunting is emotionally and physically overwhelming and Donna made it a very smooth affair. Property managers at City Realty are accessible and transparent. Document execution is flawless with a digital platform and you can execute and save your lease documents at the click of a button

Negative experience: During the rental lease period, the Realestate manager Troy little said inappropriate word and threaten on the phone in bad manner. Every time, City realty want to charge something to us but no previous notice were emailed or mailed to us beforehand. Incorporate and insufficient communication and communication. Really bad experience, which makes us will never find a rent property via City realty. Same things happened to our friends too. Shamed. Don’t want to call them because I was threatened on the phone…

Negative experience: If I could, I would give it minus instead of 1. I hope everyone knows what a rude and irresponsible real estate manager Troy Little is. In the two years that my girlfriend and I have lived in a CR apartment, we have gone through four different managers, and Troy is without a doubt the worst. I can't imagine living here for two years and he doesn't even know my name. Smart Troy always thought I was living in this apartment with someone he misremembered and the previous tenant. This has brought countless troubles to my life. Every time I renew the contract or sign the paper work, I have to correct it again and again. To top it all off, after a delay caused by his mistake, he called my girlfriend and made her cry in a rude manner. Ridiculous, isn't it? I can't understand how an educated grown man could do such a thing. During the year of dealing with Troy, our life became extremely complicated and difficult, because every little thing that could have been solved in a few minutes was made difficult by his delayed responses, nagging and malicious attacks. After one inspection, he even used different photos from other places to accuse us of wrapping smoke detectors in plastic bags. The funny thing is that the plastic bag was there before I moved in. It was never mentioned in nearly ten inspections over two years and we never paid attention to it. However, the day after I told Troy to quit the lease, he used a photo of another smoke alarm to accuse us of wrapping the smoke alarm in plastic bags recently. Really speechless. This is just a drop in the bucket because Troy caused us some inconvenience.

Fantastic experience: Returning to renting while looking for our next property to buy has had its challenges; however dealing with Donna Rendell from City Realty has not been one of them. From the start Donna was professional and helpful with all the information she provided and has continued to work with us promptly scheduling repairs and being considerate of our work commitments when booking inspections.
