Fantastic experience: Reliable, professional and experienced realtor! Karl at 1840 has been an absolute dream to work with from day 1. I took a speed dating approach to choosing a real estate agent for the management of my property and Karl and Celeste at 1840 were the most organised and well presented (in addition to the most competitively priced) by far. They are clearly dedicated and knowledgeable in the market, and take a more intimate approach to management. All communication over the past 2-3 years has been seamless, they found reliable tenants, and helped sell my property without a hitch, and securing me a great price. I could not recommend them more highly.

Negative experience: Do not recommend. They want you to sign a lease agreement without any details about the property, agency and landlord. In the meantine they try to put you in a hurry, so you sign up in fear of losing the house. Check twice and even more, a very shady agency who never give any clear responses to your concerns.

I have always found Karl to be very reliable and knowledgeable and he is always willing to take the time to go through all of the options with any decision that needs to be made. Negative experience: False advertising. Dishonest. Be sure to read all their reviews here and Facebook before signing a lease with them. Impossible to have this many tenants raging about their wrong doings. I've never seen so many negative reviews for one business before. Their Facebook is at about 55% max 2.8/5 to be exact. Would give negative 5 stars if I could.

Negative experience: Could not sell kept requesting to lower price, after opens. Kept contact for a few weeks then not much only through email/text or we had to message him, all he said was price is too high which in the listed area was not. We gained access to our property and found house sale brochures with the wrong address. Once contract was finalised, would not take the add down on the internet until payment was made and held keys that were NOT issued to him at ransom until payment was made. NOT RECOMMENDED ..... OH WE DID PAY OUR BILL within 7 days of contract as per stated on our contract also what he told us and market prices in that area at beginning were not what he wanted us to take as offers well below market prices ... also he was not harassed on a daily basis with inundated phone calls .... who's lying

Negative experience: I would like to share my experience with this real estate agency. Unfortunately, as tenants, we are quite disappointed with the management service provided. We reported several issues over a month ago, and despite multiple follow-ups, nothing has been fixed. The lack of timely response and attention to these concerns has been frustrating, and it has affected our overall experience. We hope they improve their service and start addressing tenant concerns more promptly and professionally.

Negative experience: After applying for a home, we did not receive any feedback for more than 10 days . We called 5 times and emailed to know the status of the application and nobody was ever able to tell us anything. Not a good and respectful service for us. Your reply speak for itself! 1. I just asked for the chandelier during the inspection. You said no, and that was fine with me. 2. it is true that we requested information on our pending application for more than 10 days and we received no info at all. It's a well deserved 1 star. Goodbye.

Fantastic experience: Definitions of professional and efficient. I’ve now used 1840 twice to rent my house out due to work commitments abroad. Both times on the fly due to last minute changes. They have delivered everything they have said they would in a punctual manner. While also looking after and communicating any issues with said property. I’ve found the communication to be beyond my expectations with any queries answered efficiently.

Negative experience: The attitude this real estate gives is disgusting, very poor service, they never return phone calls or reply to emails, they leave every interaction up to a facebook messenger AI chatbot, you request repairs and they never get done. I would never recommend them to anyone

Negative experience: Moved out in August 2023, have not stopped getting every email under the sun related to the property, despite paying $200 to remove my name from the lease and asking about 6 times since for them to stop. These guys don’t care about the tenants and can’t organise their admin or manage their properties.

Fantastic experience: Transparent and professional. We have dealt with 1840 real estate team for a year now from a landlord perspective. They are always very responsive and supportive of us. In term of professionalism, there are always 3 months inspection report with images to show the condition of the house. If there is any issue, it seems notified and resolved within timeframe. It seems like they are also communicating regularly with the tenants. They also disclosed any fee and charges incurred with transparency so you expect what is coming. I really admire their effort and hope they keep that up. Their award winning achievement is a great testimony to their outstanding work.

Negative experience: This is one of the most unorganised dishonest and rude Real Estate agents I have ever dealt with, in 2 years my agent was replaced 3 times and in that 2 year I lived in mould that I didn’t know about and when I raised the issues this then took months to sorts out. With a discrepancy of $1000 in rent, I won that case. But now come to moving out, they are with holding my bond claiming that previous damages to the property moving in are my damages moving out, and I most pay now! The photos are wrong the people are rude they wouldn’t even let my pregnant wife in the office to hand back the keys.. never using this agent again!!!
