Negative experience: As a landlord, I would strongly recommend considering other property management options before using John Mooney Real Estate. After my tenant vacated the property, I was advised that their handyman had attended to the required repairs. Unfortunately, when I inspected the property, the condition was far from what I had been led to believe. I had to arrange and pay for my own repairs, costing several thousand dollars, including fixing and replacing items that I understood had already been addressed. There were also issues that had not been properly reported to me during the management of the property. As a landlord, I expect clear communication, proper reporting and repairs to be completed to an acceptable standard. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet those expectations. Based on my experience, I would recommend landlords do their research and consider other property management companies before making a decision.

Negative experience: I have been a tenant with this real estate for 8 years. I had no issues with previous property managers, but Lara is an absolute, incompetent joke. She “lost” the key to my property, and didn’t seem embarrassed to tell me, she rarely replies to emails reporting issues with the property, and now, after vacating the property, after assuring me she has cancelled my rent autopayments, lo and behold my account has been debited again! I’ve tried to contact her manager about matters, with no response from them either, which leads me to believe that they find her behaviour acceptable, and the entire business is a joke. I would NOT recommend this business to anyone.
