Negative experience: They managed my property for around four years, during which there were several changes in property managers. Unfortunately, I felt that some of them didn't put much effort into managing the property. The most disappointing part was the final bond inspection, which was outsourced. After I moved back into the property, I noticed several issues that should have been identified during the final inspection. Overall, I was disappointed with how the property was handed back to me.

I recently worked as a buyers agent to purchase a property from Joe and it was such a pleasant experience for myself and my clients. He was fantastic to deal with—always keeping us informed and making the process feel smooth and well managed. Joe then led the sale of our home, and he was absolutely amazing. Nothing was ever too much trouble, he kept us consistently informed, and clearly explained every step along the way. He was always approachable and easy to talk to, never making us feel like any question was too small. Selling a home can be stressful, but the whole process felt smooth and as stress-free as it possibly could be. We’re very grateful for the professionalism and support from the team—definitely a five-star experience!

Negative experience: I have been renting for over 20 years and have never experienced issues with inspections, property managers, or bond returns — until dealing with Century 21 Gold Key Realty. This has been, without question, the most unprofessional and stressful rental experience I have encountered. During my tenancy, I experienced ongoing maintenance issues, including a faulty garage door and a burst water pipe that caused damage to the property. These matters were not handled appropriately and ultimately escalated to legal proceedings, which were determined in my favour. There were also serious concerns around conduct and privacy. On one occasion, the property manager attended the property with the owner without my knowledge or consent. This was captured on camera, including conversations about me. At the end of the lease, I returned the property in a clean condition (allowing for pre-existing and maintenance-related issues). However, I was met with: * No communication regarding the final inspection * No opportunity to attend the final Property Condition Report * Repeatedly ignored requests for my rental ledger Instead, I was issued a $630 vacate cleaning charge without prior notice of any issues. The invoice itself raised concerns, including incorrect dates, lack of itemisation, and inconsistencies in business details such as an invalid ABN. The handling of the bond process further reflected this pattern. The bond release was submitted on the final day of the allowable period, followed by no response during the Early Intervention timeframe, and then resubmitted again immediately prior to a public holiday period, again without any communication. This resulted in unnecessary delays and prolonged an already avoidable dispute. Due to the lack of communication and transparency, I was forced to escalate the matter to Consumer Protection Western Australia. The case was formally reviewed by the Commissioner, who determined that I had not breached the lease agreement and that the landlord was not entitled to any portion of my bond. My full bond is due to be returned. Following this, I escalated a formal complaint to head office and was contacted directly by Charles Tarbey. I was advised that the Principal of the Clarkson office would contact me to discuss the matter. During that call, the Principal confirmed he had conducted a review but did not seek to hear my version of events, stating he was satisfied with the information already available. He advised that no further action would be taken, would not provide a written outcome of the review, and did not consider any compensation or resolution appropriate beyond the previous legal and regulatory outcomes. Despite the matter being formally resolved in my favour, I also had to repeatedly request an updated rental ledger, which initially continued to show an outstanding balance of $630. This was only corrected after multiple follow-ups. This experience reflects a pattern of poor communication, lack of transparency, and a failure to properly engage with tenant concerns, even after formal rulings. This matter should never have required legal or regulatory intervention to be resolved. I strongly recommend that anyone dealing with this agency keeps detailed records and fully understands their rights as a tenant.

Positive experience: I highly recommend the PM Sue. The principal Justin is also great. I raised my issues with Justin. He took his time listening to me and quickly took action to fix the issues. Sue is simply amazing. She is quite thorough, professional, she has strong sense of duty and acts in the landlord's best interest. Trust has been built, which to me is the most important thing in doing business. Sue doesn't serve as a mailbox, like some incapable and irresponsible PMs you might meet, she is proactive and provides me good advice.

Fantastic experience: Joe Morrow was absolutely brilliant for us! As this was our first time selling a house we were obviously unsure of a lot of things and pretty nervous with it all. Joe was always so relaxed and extremely helpful with any queries we had. From the moment we sat down for initial talks, we knew he was the agent that would get the maximum sale price. Even with buying our new property Joe was always helpful with questions we had about that process. Could not recommend someone more than Joe!

Fantastic experience: We recently purchased a block of land and found Justin to be friendly, knowledgeable, professional and was quick to action and respond to any queries we had. The process was efficient and stress free and we would be happy to work with Justin again in the future.

Negative experience: Property management services were terrible. I bought a house two years ago and let them manage it for rent, but after the tenants moved out, I found a lot of damage, and they billed me for it. We gave them the keys and house in perfect condition. They charged an inspection fee 3-4 times per year, totaling 7.7% plus an admin fee. All this negatively affected the owner because they did an amazing job—not! I don't recommend them if you want to let them manage your house.

Negative experience: Stay away! My experience with Aya has been absolutely horrifying and beyond frustrating. She is by far the most incompetent and unprofessional property manager I’ve ever dealt with. I have multiple IPs and all my experience with other PMs have been smooth. I requested urgent repair work on September 23, and it is still not completed over 2.5 months later. Despite sending over 20 follow-ups and calling multiple times, she has done nothing. Instead, Aya disappeared for weeks without any communication, only to return with excuses about being unwell. Even after that, no progress was made. This isn’t the first time Aya has failed to do her job. This is the third major issue: 1. She completely ignored my questions about the property on several occasions. 2. Tenants have months of unpaid bills, including water bills, which I explicitly asked her to follow up on. She has done absolutely nothing to resolve this. 3. The urgent repair work I requested remains unresolved, despite the significant stress and inconvenience it has caused me. Aya’s inability to communicate, take responsibility, or complete basic tasks has made this entire experience a nightmare. If you’re considering working with her, save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. This has been an utterly horrifying and unacceptable experience. Please see screenshots as evidence of how many times I have been following up on a work I requested on September 23 and today is December 9 and it is still not done. Aya kept ignoring my emails for days and weeks and she always found some excuse of why this simple job has not been done

Fantastic experience: Dealing with C21 Gold Key, as a buyer, has been so simple and easy. Justin has exceeded all of my expectations when dealing with a Real Estate company. Nothing has been too difficult, and every question has been answered either immediately, or with a very short response time, after Justin has made the relevant enquiries to get the answer. Negative experience: I had a disappointing experience with Century 21. They rely solely on email, leading to slow response times—often taking over 24 hours for even simple communications. Throughout the rental process, updates were minimal, and I had to follow up at every step. There were several issues: delayed sharing of tenant applications, slow responses to negotiation requests, and leaving the garage door unlocked after a home open, compromising safety. Despite my feedback and involving management, there was little to no response. I found the lack of urgency, communication, and professionalism concerning.

Fantastic experience: We have been renting a Property in Dianella for the past year and were extremely fortunate to have Chantelle Duggan as our Property Manager, Chantelle was always very professional, all of our queries and maintenance requests were managed very promptly, she has exceptional customer service skills and always treated us with respect. This is something crazy. I think Justin O’Connell had done his responsibility and the problem came from the seller it self. It is not fair if blame Century 21 for this.

Fantastic experience: I had a few agents do appraisals on my property before I selected Justin and his team to take on the sale. Justin understood the local market and was spot on with the pricing, where others missed the mark completely. I found the service great and I was informed every step of the way. Phone calls were returned promptly and the settlement was very easy. I couldn't be happier with the result!

Negative experience: I would surely not rent or put my property into the hands of anyone from Century 21 clarkson. From the sources I have heard about having to experince many unpleasant dealings with this agent from the business proprietor to the property manager. Having to encounter such emotional abuse from the property manager re: claiming tenants require to pay more excessive payments above and beyond the advance payments in which the tenant has already paid to them. When the tenant has questioned their motive and imtentions in their unethical practices, they give termination notices to eliminate a tenants lease. I would not trust someone like this renting my own property ad they'd probably lose me a great tenant. Spin your response anyway you wish, it still does not show grace. And also to suggest a Tennant that has been refused the opportunity to renew a new lease and suggest that the owner of property has agreed to release the tenants bond in full even if they have done further damage prior to moving out when they had never caused previous damage to the property during the whole 2 years they lease the property, even tho there was many offers to pay out of their own pockets to upgrade fly wires in doors and windows which were impacted already damaged by a previous tenant before they tool up residency at this property themselves. Negative experience: Viewed a property on Sunday 15th August and wanted to put a full asking price offer in. Contacted Steven Graham to do so. Form was filled in and returned to him. It is now Wednesday and no offer has been submitted to the owners on our behalf. Steven Graham seems to be waiting incase he gets a higher offer I do NOT believe this is ethical behaviour in any manner and am absolutely appalled. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!! I am trying to secure a property for my son and his family as they have just had a baby and are in desperate need of a home..... I am in shock by your action STEVEN GRAHAM

Positive experience: I've had few troubles with the actual agents. They seem quite reasonable. The owner of the house I live in is a different story altogether, but that's not Gold Key's fault.
