This particular McGrath franchise is by far the worst, most inept, combative, argumentative and dishonest organisation I've had the displeasure of dealing with. Below you'll see them post the usual organisation response but Investors, if you value and want to protect your Assets, DO NOT USES THIS company. These people need to be named and shamed for their practices and behaviour.

Negative experience: Gazumping occurs when a seller (especially of property) accepts a verbal offer (a promise to purchase) on the property from one potential buyer, but then accepts a higher offer from someone else. This can happen at any point before the sale is legally finalised. It can also refer to the seller raising the asking price or asking for more money at the last minute, after previously verbally agreeing to a lower one. In either case, the original buyer is left in a bad situation, and either has to offer a higher price or lose the purchase.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful Agent. I have twice dealt with Briar White (on purchasing a Valla Beach property and selling a Hyland Park one). On both occasions she was exemplary, clear-speaking, precise, thorough and always easy to communicate with. She likes to achieve great results through friendly and kind negotiation. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Negative experience: I can't recommend this agent for property management. I have been with them for some years and have never been satisfied with the service. I had three properties managed with them (I've since moved to a different real estate agent). Requests were often missed, instructions were almost never followed correctly, and communication with the tenants was sporadic at best. The final straw came for me when they sent a payment due to me to another landlord. This caused me to miss a mortgage payment for one of my properties. Upon asking about this, not only was there no apology, but I was told that I should manage my finances better! Highly unprofessional. There is no consistency with employees either - it seemed that there was a different person managing my property every few months. I can only speculate as to why this would be. Beware - their contract states that they need 90 days notice when terminating. I've since signed with someone else who specifies 30 days, which is far more reasonable. Do yourself a favour - if you have properties to be managed, look elsewhere.

He responded promptly and helpfully to any issues or questions we had and listened to our needs. We could tell from our dealings with Adam that he would be representing our interests in the best and most professional way possible. We really felt Adam was working as part of our team to achieve the best result possible for us - and he delivered in spades!

Being away from the property we had for sale, Ashlee took those extra steps of care. Negative experience: McGraths Nambucca, as of this moment, owe me over $400 and a removalist over $500. The “ fight” to stay in my 52 week LEGAL lease and NOW to obtain what is owed to me, has been an unbelievable battle. I had been a tenant in the property I was in for around 5 years. I have been a great tenant as I had previously owned my own home, and owners, great owners, keeping my rent affordable because I looked after their property like I would my own. The previous agents, Bradleys Real Estate, were fabulous agents, they were professional and at the same time treated people with sincerity and respect. Thank you to Bradleys staff and some of the girls in McGraths who have treated me equally so. Since Trish has left and McGraths took over, under the Management of Troy Pinder, what a difference! McGraths offered me a 52 week lease on this peroperty I was renting. I did not ask for the lease, it was OFFERED to me and unexpected. Owner of my unit suggested the contract was offered to guarantee McGraths a guaranteed income for 52 weeks but owner said they never agreed to the lease and I was told they were going to take legal action against McGraths if I did not vacate and that my lease was totally illegal. Not long after I signed the lease I was informed by McGraths that the owners didnt want the property leased that they wanted to renovate but I was told not to worry that my lease IS LEGAL and I would not be forced out BUT at the same time McGraths told me, “WE HAVE ANOTHER PROPERTY YOU CAN MOVE IN TO IMMEDIATELY AND IT IS ONLY $30 EXTRA A WEEK!” ($120 month!). Let by McGraths of course. I HAD A LEGAL LEASE! Confirmed by Sevices! This was the beginning of a ride I never ever want to experience again. Troy Pinder phoned me to say he was hoping for an amicable solution to it all. Amicable, I later found out, meant Troys way, or no way at all. E-mails were many. I was offered 90 days to move, 100 days to move then 110 days to move. I HAD A 52 week LEGAL lease! The stress associated with all this was phenominal. I received a threat from the owner, ( which was very sad because we got along really well prior). What I wanted in the agreement kept getting appropriately dropped out when replied to, thus the frustrations multiplied. Was I being worn down? Yes. Absolutely. The result is, I, after an enourmous amount of pressure, and after being pushed over my limit, I moved and am owed above monies by McGrath, but obviously male ego has replaced professionalism and honesty. I strongly believe that just because I asked for removalist costs to be paid by McGraths ( a fair request under the circumstances, being a forced out I felt and an unexpexted move) an expense Troy never wanted to pay, his initial comment being, “ Well thats not going to happen” I am now having to wait, or fight again to have money refunded to me. Only DAYS before my move did McGraths agree to above. I feel because the owners of my unit own more than one property, ( McGraths did not want to lose their business) I have been made a scapegoat. I had a legal lease. I did not get the peace one is supposed to be having when paying for such, Instead I had to go through the constant intrusion and fighting to keep a roof over my head. If you are looking for an agent you can trust, is honest, reliable, professional and treats people with consideration and respect, this is an agency I would avoid. With all honesty Di Ps I do not care what your reply will be Troy. It will simply be water off a ducks back as far as I am concerned. What has happened to me is unethical, I am out but if you think this is a geat achievement for you, think again. In the country, honesty is everything, something I have not experienced dealing with you. As I was once told when I rang McGraths (to tell them my Building Society was having computer issues that I was giving them a courtesty call to tell mcGaths rent MAY be ONE day late). I was told, “ I dont want to hear your excuses, just pay.” Same here Troy, “ I dont wish to hear your excuses, just pay.”
