Negative experience: ​Title: Be very cautious if you are a renter here. ​My experience as a tenant with IEC Real Estate (International Equities Carlton) was extremely disappointing, particularly regarding property maintenance and tenancy closure. ​Throughout the tenancy, urgent repair requests (including serious water damage and power issues) were repeatedly delayed and poorly managed for months. ​To make matters worse, even after the tenancy was fully finalised and the bond was refunded, they sent an automated/incorrect invoice for water charges that were neither my responsibility nor valid. ​I strongly advise all prospective tenants to document every communication in writing and know your rights under Victorian tenancy laws (especially RTBA bond claim procedures) when dealing with this agency.

Fantastic experience: The team at IEC are amazing. I had a horrific experience with the real estate company I was with. Jackie, Sam and Victor made the transition across to them a seamless process. They transformed a situation that was riddled with roadblocks to one with a great outcome. IEC has helped me maximise the potential of my property. They proactively flagged out and project managed various repairs. They were also mindful of costs and any potential loss in rental income. Most importantly, they found a new tenant in record time. I am pleased that I made the switch to IEC. There is a high level of professionalism across the team. They showed empathy when I explained my situation to them. Communication is prompt and clear and they get the job done without it being a hair-tearing experience. I highly recommend IEC.

Negative experience: AVOID!! Showed up to a property inspection and the agent listed as Samuel Soon never showed up. Waited over 30 minutes before we decided to cut our losses and leave. They didn’t answer any calls or texts. There were around 25-30 people left waiting in the lobby of the apartment building. The most unprofessional conduct I’ve witnessed from an estate agent. To leave all of these people high and dry with no attempt to contact any of the registered attendees is incredibly disappointing. Will definitely not be attempting to let from this agency and will be warning others of the unprofessionalism that they’ve set to be expected. The lack of care for all of these people’s time is beyond me. Considering it was the only inspection time they’d listed, I’m sure as a tenant with this agency it would be incredibly difficult to work with them.

Negative experience: Intermediaries are disappointing again and again. Do things sloppy and irresponsible, and lie a lot. The oven at home has been used for 30 years and is reluctant to replace it. If there is a problem, we need to wait for the maintenance personnel to find the parts. It is still unknown whether they can find it or not. The rent has to be paid by the tenant on time. Why not deal with the problem immediately? Only make money, will your intermediary conscience not hurt?There are also a few questions that have been said before and ignored, should the tenant be responsible for it? The 30-year-old house, why not rent it out after repairing it? Do you think I am very free?中介一而再再而三的让人失望。 做事马虎不负责，还要谎话连篇。 家里烤炉用了30年不舍得换，有问题了需要等维修人员找到零件为止，能不能找到还是未知数。 租金却要租客定时付，有问题为什么不立即处理？ 只会赚钱，你们中介良心不会痛吗？还有之前讲过几个问题都置之不理，应该是要租客自己负责吗？30年老旧屋子，为什么不维修好再租给人，你以为我很得空？

Negative experience: Very rude agents. Visited a property at 1:04pm for inspection scheduled at 1pm even after personal communication with the agent Violet. It was told that many people inspected the property and the inspection was over in 4 minutes which is quite not possible. The agent was very rude and very poor service received.

Fantastic experience: Great, especially the services of Vincent Lum, Chien Ong and Jackie Lin, who are really fast and efficient to answer to any query. Besides, I could find a really fine place with them and arrangements of the lease were done in a straightforward way. Moving out was also without issues. Therefore, I quite recommend International Equities - Carlton.

Fantastic experience: I am a renter and I had an issue to my apartment caused by a water leak from the apartment above mine. My managing agent, Vincent Lum, was both attentive and responsive. Vincent worked to ensure that the issue was resolved as quickly and with as little inconvenience as possible. Many real estate agents seem to only care about the landlord and their interests. This was not the case with Vincent, at all. He took over the entire process from start to finish and kept me informed the entire time. I could not recommend his, and IEC's service more. Fantastic experience: As a Mechanical Contractor, I’ve been engaged to over 38 Real Estate Agencies in Melbourne, and I have seen many complicated issues between the agent and tenants. There are agents who are incompetent very slow to act in Tenants request, ignoring the tenant’s urgent needs perhaps because they are too busy. As a result both the Landlord and the Agency end up in disputes. Some agents didn’t even know to contained the situation and resulting into bigger trouble. As a Contractor, I have nothing to do with these but I have seen Professional Agents like Ms Mandy Yee, making sure that both the Agency and the Landlords are safe. CONTINGENCY PLANS are always in her practice. As a Contractor, I feel I’m safe too !!!

Positive experience: Have been with this company since my previous rental management company was sold to IEC. My current manager, Vincent Lum has been very responsive and follows up without my prompting. Fees are reasonable and statements are timely too. Am deducting a star because I don't use the full suite of services from them (i.e. I pay my own rates, body corporate, water, etc) so I cannot comment on that aspect.

He helped to replace many things at home since house is pretty old. House became more livable and functional now than before. I have been very thankful for his help and customer service.
