Negative experience: The worst experience renting from LJ Hooker Bundaberg. Never have I experienced such incompetence from a real estate agent. Over a year, we had 5+ property managers, most with poor communication. There were contract breaches, attempts to increase rent within 12 months against rental legislations, inability to keep accurate rental records and an apparent inability respond to emails or return calls. Pretty standard for emails not to be responded to, let alone if you had any issues. Looking at reviews, it seems to be a trend within their rental team. Avoid this franchise if you care about your tenants, and if you’re looking at renting, avoid if you don’t want any unnecessary stress and value your time.

Fantastic experience: As a buyer I found Jennifer to be easy to deal with, understanding and helpful. Jennifer went out of her way to show me through the property on extra occasions to make sure the property was the one for me. As I had to sell my property in a different area code to buy here, Jennifer made it very easy to coordinate the sale and purchase of my new property with minimal issues. I would definitely recommend Jennifer if you're buying or selling property. Thanks for everything Jennifer.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusted with the so called property rental management team at LJHookers, They have had 5 calls so far to fix a RUNNING HOT WATER TAP leaving the tenants with no hot water through winter apart from the damage and cost of a continually running hot water tap. The owners of the property will be sorely let down too as the maintenance to the property is non existent. What a huge let down you are. DISGUSTED!!!

Fantastic experience: William was both very professional and a pleasure to interact with; he showed us around the property and pointed out all the positives without being pushy, and then allowed us time and space to inspect on our own. Communication was excellent, he responded quickly to all calls and messages, and patiently answered each of my many questions, with not a single one fobbed off. He was also extremely accommodating and allowed us multiple inspections without making us feel that we were being a nuisance. If you’re looking for a really great agent to work with I highly recommend William Weier.

Negative experience: Very poor experience renting our house out via LJ Hooker. Over our 12 months with this company, we had 4 different property managers all with poor communication. We also discovered across the course of the tenancy that the tenants were actually good friends with the first property manager. This biased relationship was never disclosed to us by LJ hooker. When our tenants moved out, an exit inspection was not done for approx 4 days and only completed because we chased it up. Once LJ arrived there, they let us know that a pipe had burst and flooded the entire upper level of the house. Although I believe this was an unfortunate coincidence, the extent of the damage could have been avoided if LJ hooker had done a timely exit report. This lead us to needing a full kitchen replacement and 9 months of vacant property. After having new tenants now for a few weeks and with 'Just Us' Realty I can absolutely say the property management at LJ hooker was subpar in comparison. Landlords, consider your options carefully. EDIT in response to owners reply: The assessor found water damage caused by days of unattended water pooling. Our tenants lease ended on 16/9 and the exit inspection was completed on 19/9. We have already tried to provide direct feedback to you last year which was not met with any remedial discussion.

Fantastic experience: I spoke to Hayly initially for renting out my investment property. She is awesome to deal with and very approachable throughout the process of securing new tenants. Definitely recommend Hayly for any landlords looking to rent out their property in Bundaberg

Negative experience: We had a very disappointing experience renting through LJ Hooker. Throughout our tenancy, communication from property managers including Shanae, Shania and Sophie was consistently poor, particularly regarding repairs and general transparency. Each time our property manager change we were not notified which lead to confusion on who to contact, leading to further relationship breakdown. Our air conditioner was broken for 6 months over summer before being repaired, and other essential maintenance items were also delayed despite minimum housing standards requirements e.g locks, showers At the end of the tenancy, unrealistic cleaning expectations were raised despite us arranging a professional bond clean through one of the agency’s recommended cleaners. We were also not provided with the entry report when requested. After 4 years of paying rent on time and receiving no negative inspection feedback, the sudden change in treatment during our exit process was extremely disappointing and felt disrespectful. Based on our experience, we would not choose LJ Hooker again for renting, buying or selling, and would not recommend them to others.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I just bought our first home, and Chaise was amazing the whole way through. Always available to talk to us (even through the recent floods!) and answer every question we had. LJ Hooker was the only estate agency that called us regarding properties in our price range, despite us going into multiple agencies and asking to be put on their buyers list. Everyone was great, but Chaise definitely knocked it out of the park

Fantastic experience: As a tenant, I have experience nothing but kind, courteous professionalism from Shenae, from phone calls, to inspections. Over the last, almost 3 years, we've felt respected and well supported whilst living in this address. If we have needed something, whether it be a rescheduled inspection or maintenance, Shenae and the team have endeavoured to make it happen to the best of their abilities. She has done an amazing job in this endeavour and deserve the highest praise as well as the whole LJ Hooker team. Negative experience: We recently applied for a rental property for one of our staff members. Hayley assured us that once we submitted the application, we would receive an answer the next day. Two days passed — no word. I called and asked for Hayley; she wasn’t available, so I left a message asking for a call back. It’s now been over a week, and I’ve received no call, no email, and no communication whatsoever. It’s disappointing that when their sales team wants to sell a home, they call you repeatedly for a free appraisal — yet when it comes to something as simple as a response, professionalism disappears. Bundaberg is a small community, and people talk. We weren’t asking for much — just to be treated with basic respect and dignity.

Negative experience: Unfortunately our experience with the rental team was horrific. Even after explicit conversation about the importance of communication, we found ourselves micromanaging LJ Hooker and our property. Sadly when contacting the ownert we again recieved no reply or answers about anything. We had several issues within the first month of their "management". Since leaving, our property ticks along, we recieve rent and fast communication if we need it (we rarely do). This was a horrendous experience. The company made more mistakes than I could ever have imagined.

Negative experience: If I could leave 0 starts I would. We have been left significantly out of pocket for damages caused by tenants to our home whilst under management by this agency.

Negative experience: In three years with this organisation I went through no less than 5 different property managers. I don't think this particular franchise values its staff and so they come and go with alarming regularity. As a result the service varies erratically... sometimes you receive rental income statements, then they stop. Sometimes you get rental inspection reports, other times none for over a year. I eventually changed realtor as I'd had enough of poor tenants and lack of communication and damage to my property left to multiply due to poorly done inspections or none at all. Sadly all the way up to the top management told bare-faced lies to avoid paying even modest compensation for their mistakes. They run a very poor show, so you are much better off with another realtor like Coronis, or even managing your own property. Hugh Reilly, please open up shop in Bundaberg.

Negative experience: I was negotiating with Donna Theuerkauf to purchase a property. I met the seller's price and was told by Donna "I won't say congratulations yet - the owner can be a bit difficult to get hold of, so it could be a while before I get back to you". She called a couple of hours later to say there was another offer and you need to complete a multiple offer form and you have an opportunity to increase your price. I increased my price but was not successful. When she called to give me the news she wanted to know how much I was willing to spend, what was I looking to etc. She said she would be in touch. I received a text less than 4 weeks later wondering if they could help us. Whilst I understand that the market is competitive at the moment - agents need to realise that buyers will be future sellers and you are being judged on your behaviour which is rather lacking at the moment.

Negative experience: Worst communication I’ve ever encountered from a real estate sales team. I was disappointed find out it was the principle agent that wasn’t returning my enquiry calls or emails. Not a sales focused office.

Fantastic experience: To say that Donna had been exceptional to deal with during the sale of our house would be an understatement, she listened to our requests and understood the property market very well. I have to praise Donna on the exceptionally fast sale of our property, Wether it was sheer luck or not, Donna secured a buyer for our property within 18 hours of listing it! that's gotta be a record on its own let alone the price she secured for us. I highly recommend Donna as your sales agent and I hope to deal with Donna again if we are lucky enough to purchase another home through her.

The weathers great , the air is clean & fresh & the people are amazingly friendly & all the different kinds of dogs greet you with a smile & excitement every day, this place in Queensland is an amazing place to live and with some of the most beautiful beaches in Australia 5 stars is definitely not enough.

Negative experience: Worst realestate rental experience of my life. Multiple inspections requested I would spend the weekend getting the property ready they would then cancel on the day of the inspection this happened Multiple times. Scheduling of trades to complete repairs not requested by me no notice of entry issued trades just turn up. Despite requests to have this addressed it continued to happen.I tried to address issues multiple times no accountability in responses. Overdue rent emails and texts received despite not being up to date took weeks to sort out. Would never rent through them again!

Emily has secured us a home within a day of applying! I didn't think it could be done in this current market but she's gone above and beyond and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a rental or for rental management.

Positive experience: Now I only rang them for an inquiry about a block of dirt .the Shelia i spoke to was very nice and helpful and promised the world so to speak. That was two odd weeks ago, no return phone calls/updates so I rang another Realestate agent and straight away there onto it for me.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with their (Johnathon olsen ) service as a potential buyer. My wife and I traveled hundreds of Kilometres to look at buying in the area. We explained that we had limited time to view the property we were interested in. He advised that the property had tenants and would have to arrange an inspection with them. As we understand, the sale of a rental property only requires that the tenants are given 24/48hrs notice. We were then told that the tenants are hard to get hold of, which we found quite strange as everybody has a mobile phone these days. Its seems to us that he qualified us on the initial conversation, and was not interested in fast tracking an inspection for us, even though the property was a the top of our list. It really made us wonder if he had the vendors best interest in mind.

Positive experience: I rented through LJ Hooker Bundaberg for 2 years until recently and mostly had no issues. However upon exit I dealt with a specific staff member named Carlii that I had not dealt with before and not only did it take her more than 4 weeks after my exit to refund my bond but while waiting I called repeatedly and every time I left a message to get a call back she never returned the calls and I emailed her more than 4 times and never received a reply. While this may have been a one-off I was very unhappy with the time it took and the poor communication during the time,

Fantastic experience: We have been extremely impressed with Violette Sinclair who is extremely approachable, highly professional, very friendly and a absolute delight to be with when hunting for our dream home. Cant wait to see what you'll find for us next.

Negative experience: LJ Hooker’s rental team led my parents down the track of thinking a property would accept my parents and their dog. The property was only a two bedroom / quite a dump for the price of ~$245. My parents specifically advised that they would have a dog and LJ Hooker never said that would be a problem. In the original paperwork/response from LJ it was fine but then in the fine print of the rental agreement they left no pets on it. My parents crossed out that line in the contract and as a result LJ refused. Now my parents and their dog need to move into a caravan park. Might I add my parents flew down from up North to inspect the property and there never any mention of no pets. Three weeks wasted.

Negative experience: Very unreliable rental team would definitely not recommend.. If you want to pay these guys to look after your property and chase up everything yourself then this is the agent for u. I took back over my properties mid last month and found out that one of my tenants lease has expired in October!! When I asked Hayley the manager why , she couldn’t even give me an answer!!! (Missing payments- no paid up to dates on invoices- lease of tenant runs out and they don’t even bother to renew one) I wouldn’t even give 1 star

Negative experience: The Company rang us to see if we would like an appraisal on our property. Appointment made, we readied the property and they cancelled 30 minutes before the appointment. Not good enough and will go elsewhere when ready to sell.

Positive experience: We have been renting through L.J. Hooker Bundaberg for a year and some months now. Although we had some initial problems (mostly related to Internet Service Providers and Phone Companies) our experience has been a good one. From my point of view the staff have been delightful, always courteous and helpful. Negative experience: No one calls back, spoke to an owner of a rental property and he hadnt even been givin apllications for a rental property yet i know that a minimum of 2 had been handed in as a friend and i were having a joke over who would get the property. Sat there on the rental market for over 10 weeks with many showings, he didnt get 1 application forwarded to him. He took his rental property to another realtor. Pity i couldnt give a half a star.

Fantastic experience: We have been dealing with LJ Hooker in Bundaberg since we bought our investment property in Coral Cove in 2009. We have found them to be excellent representatives given that we were in the Northern Territory originally, and are now in Brisbane. Their service is excellent, we find them to be very pro-active and realistic. With the Bundaberg team it's not all about how much money they make out of us, it's about a quality service with an honest approach and sound advice. Good on you Jodi and team, you do a great job.

Negative experience: Couldn't think of a more unreliable rental team. Have been waiting a month to hear back about my bond, and being charged for mowing because it's taken them so long to sort things out. Will definitely never rent through them again.

Negative experience: LJ Hooker rental have been contacted 4 times by my son and his partner and a message has been taken each time however no one calls back, how do you expect to rent properties? Pitiful customer service by the rental department.
