Negative experience: Fixed nothing , Allowed inappropriate ( stalking & intimidating behaviour by Handy Man - Had to find somewhere else to live have emails & photos as proof as to them ignoring the behaviour i refused to pay rent so i could move where i felt safe with my pets Asap - which in the end cost me my bond would never recommend half of the low reviews have been removed

Fantastic experience: I would like to share with the company the outstanding work your newly appointed property manager Hala Nassar is performing with the the management of my property in Mitcham .She did come to my attention when she previously worked for Casmi and looked after my property in Craigieburn. When she moved from Casmi to Barry Plant I decided to transfer my Craigieburn property to her at Barry Plant because she was very impressive with how she handled the appointment of a new tenant and the thorough house inspection she performed unlike any other property manager I have had in the past. I must admit I have given her the biggest challenge ever with the management of my Mitcham property as the tenant has not been paying his rent .He has been lapsing by four months at a time and regardless of every VCAT appointment we have had,the past property managers have not been firm enough to obtain a Possession Order to vacate the property by the member . Hala has already broken the ice with this tenant and has made it clear that she will not tolerate any nonsense and is willing to fight for the landlord , thus I highly commend her on her work and would recommend to anyone wanting an outstanding property manager

Negative experience: Please do not rent a property through Barry Plant Epping. Especially, please avoid having Lance Nester as a property manager. We have been tenants for a property through Barry Plant Epping for 12 months. We have personally met our Landlord who is great. We had issues with our home from the beginning (due to age) which Lance failed to follow through with or show any compassion or support. Initially, he handed over a house that was completely dirty (leaving us to move into the garage for 4-5 days), he admitted that it was not clean after his inspection but did nothing to ensure it was ready to be moved in to. One of the first issues that arouse was that our garage leaked and flooded majority of our belongings. On this occasion, Lance was impossible to get in contact with, and once he did answer, he made us feel as if it was not his issue and that he did not care. Secondly, we had mould growing in both our spare bedroom and bathroom. The spare bedroom was repaired after we liaised with the landlord and trademan. But, our bathroom is still yet to be repaired 12 months later, there is still mould growing in the ceiling. On this occasion, Lance outlined that it is not his responsibility to chase up tradesman to fix the issue. We ended up making repairs to the property ourselves as it was becoming unliveable, he promised that if receipts were provided that a refund would occur - this never happened. (our landlord confirms that he never received a request for monies for the refund). This is just a couple of things that happened during our lease with Barry Plant Epping. The final issue that we had is that our landlord had to contact us stating that he was ending his lease (due to personal issues) and then Barry Plant Epping did not contact us for an additional 4+ weeks to let us know. I (tenant) attempted to contact Lance and a superior (Angelo) for an additional 4 weeks with no response. I called them everyday, sent messages and emails. Leaving us in the dark with no support from the agency. Please avoid Barry Plant Epping at all costs.

Negative experience: Lance Nestor was our agent and he was the worst agent I've ever had. He would never answer emails or calls, I would have to call the office and leave messages for him with the receptionist for weeks. He gave incorrect information and never once did what he promised on the phone. I think the only reason he got the job was because he is the boss's son.
