She has made my entire rental experience such a positive one, and I’m incredibly grateful for her care and professionalism. Eiley is attentive, approachable and always follows through. She responds to messages, returns phone calls and makes sure any concerns are promptly addressed. Whenever something needed fixing at the property, she was straight onto it, with repairs literally completed the next day. What really stands out is the respect and care she shows me as a tenant. Negative experience: They advertise everywhere and don't even get a response to email inquiries. If you can't process inquiries within a reasonable timeframe, you shouldn't be advertising on every corner.

Negative experience: One of the worst experiences my partner and I have had searching for our first home, dealing with Damian Ponte of Nelson Alexander Coburg. We put an offer in, had the contract of offer accepted and sent through to us to sign, it went to boardroom auction which we said we didn't want to attend. It ended up selling there for a great price and well done to the sellers. Damian quickly flipped the listing over to 'Under offer', but neither us or our conveyancer even had a courtesy email from him that afternoon or call to neutralise the existing offer and notify us that it'd sold. When you're dealing with first home buyers and over a million dollars, it's someone's life. When you've been talking to an interested party for a week to get things moving, meeting with the vendors to say they've accepted your offer and signed off on it - even if they're unsuccessful, all of that interaction still calls for a single ounce of care in your relationship management toolkit. It's probably nice to just send an email to say it was unsuccessful - one line, right? Damian couldn't even manage that - it's simply not on his radar, and he had a myriad of reasons why he was in the right this morning when I called to ask why he didn't do that one thing. There are plenty of positive reviews here about this agent, and he'll happily promote it all, but it's an interaction we'll remember forever as prospective buyers in the area and it's a warning for all other buyers. If you're dealing with people, be professional.

Fantastic experience: I can’t sprinkle enough praise on the enigma that is Prudence Walton-Pearce. From the moment she took over the management of the property I rent, it was clear she was a gorgeous human being. She personally called to introduce herself when the changeover happened—a simple gesture, but one that immediately stood out and set the tone for what has been an outstanding experience ever since. Not only is Prudence warm, approachable, and genuinely lovely, but she is also incredibly good at what she does. Every maintenance issue I've had has been handled promptly, professionally, and without the usual runaround or frustration that sadly tends to come with renting. I was particularly pleased with the advice she gave around selecting a tennant. Michelle also has access to a great range of tradespeople. Negative experience: Beware of Rental Provider: Poor Conduct and Lack of Action! They will take your bond money and make you pay for other charges out of your own pocket! Review: I had a horrendous experience with Nelson Alexander Coburg at one of their rental properties in Pascoe Vale South. The mistreatment, poor conduct, and lack of action towards complaints were beyond disappointing. It's clear they're only interested in taking your money and running. From the moment I moved in, issues piled up. Maintenance requests went unanswered for weeks on weeks, if not months, despite repeated reminders. The condition of the house was appalling, and any attempt to address it fell on deaf ears. Not only did they fail to uphold their end of the rental agreement, but their conduct towards us as the tenants was downright disrespectful. Communication was non-existent, and when complaints were raised, we were met with indifference or outright hostility. To anyone considering renting from Nelson Alexander Coburg, & Travis Reeves, I strongly advise against it. Save yourself the headache and find a more reputable and ethical provider. Trust me; it's not worth the stress and frustration dealing with a company that cares more about profit than their tenants' well-being.

Negative experience: Myself and a couple of housemates were attempting to rent a property through Nelson Alexander. We put our application in three weeks prior to the move in date listed. We heard four days before the move in date that we had been rejected, after being strung along for a week, with positive contact with the agent. No reason for the rejection was given. This conduct has been extremely unprofessional and has left us with little time to find a new property.

Negative experience: The worst property manager we’ve ever had Mr. Craig Fegan from Nelson Alexander is by far the worst property manager we’ve ever had. When we first spoke, Craig appeared to be friendly and very experienced. We trusted Craig for his experience in the industry and decided to let him manage our property. Craig’s attitude shifted once we signed, and things only got worse from there. We were left disappointed and frustrated many times by Craig’s unwillingness to communicate with us and keep us informed. The rent payment was not received when it was due. We followed up with Craig, but he didn’t respond. We had to contact the office of Nelson Alexander and found out they never deposited the rent payments into our bank account. Craig did not respond to our email enquiry regarding maintenance issues, despite promising to get back to us within 24 hours after receiving our email prior to signing the management authority agreement. Craig even got upset when we tried to reach him by phone after waiting for his update for several months. Craig had never inspected the property as the property manager during the course of his management, despite his assurance that he would inspect it in person and send us a detailed inspection report once we signed the authority form. After over 9 months of frustration and exhaustion, we’ve decided to stop wasting our time with Craig. We transferred the management to another agency, with whom we have been very pleased up to this point. Overall, this is by far the worst experience we’ve ever had with a property manager. It’s a shame, because Nelson Alexander is a well-established agency in the area, and Craig has a lot of experience in the industry, but the experience we had with Craig, despite the premium management fees, did not measure up to the expectations they set for themselves.

Fantastic experience: Chris Sacco is hands down the best property manager I've encountered. He goes above and beyond and treats tenants with respect and courtesy. It's such a treat to deal with an agent who is responsive and helpful. There should be more like Chris

My property manager Chris Sacco, has been so professional and anything that has required maintenance, has been dealt with almost immediately. The communication is always easy via email and any queries, are resolved. I've had some terrible experiences with other agencies in the past, but I highly recommend Nelson Alexander. I'm very happy! :)

Initially we had Richard who was always helpful whenever things needed fixing during our tenancy, and then Penelope took over from him who has been a fantastic help. We are currently ending our tenancy and she has made it as smooth as possible.

Negative experience: Richard is by far the worst property manager I have ever experienced. When emergencies happened we were frequently left to contact the landlord or tradesmen directly as there was no response from Nelson Alexander through any of the advised channels. Richard is rude and unprofessional, I recently found out due to a misspelling of my email address he has been sending my personal information to a stranger for years now and even after this was brought to his attention his did not fix his mistake. He tried to tell us that we couldn't leave our month to month lease without landlord approval directing our attention to a document which actually stated we only had to give 28 days notice. We tried to report his poor conduct to Craig who simply said I won't get into an argument about who said what, and in no way addressed our numerous concerns. I will never conduct business with this agency again.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I recently purchased a home through Nelson Alexander and had an exceptional experience with Daniel Carusi. After seeing a whole host of agents who are all about the hard sell, it was refreshing to work with Dan who has a gentle manner and never pressured us into anything. He worked hard to find us off-market properties and kept in touch throughout the process.

Fantastic experience: I have bought a property from this office over 10 years ago and the service was so good that I had recently decided to sell through them. It was the perfect decision as their professionalism and expertise made the process an enjoyable one. They have a great understanding of their markets and are highly prompt and efficient with their processes. Having to sell during the Covid crises was nerve wrecking. Thanks to Steven Shaw and Dee Spittal, both the process and outcome were successful! I highly recommend this office for the area.

Negative experience: Unprofessional. Applied for a property nearly two weeks ago. Both myself and my partner had called to follow up and left a voicemail for the property manager Craig to call us back. Never happened. Wouldn’t waste my time with this agency again. At least have the decency to call people back who spend time applying and submitting documents, even if they aren’t successful.

Fantastic experience: As a tenant, I've never been more impressed by a real estate agency - exceptional response time to maintenance requests and respectful, helpful agents. If this is how they always are then I'd give them an even higher rating if I could.

Negative experience: Very much skewed towards the interests of sellers and landlords, as most real estate agents are in the current market. Friendly until they have your signature, once you've signed you're on your own. We noticed there had been some recent repairs to the shower recess in between inspections which we raised with the agent, who assured us it was for cosmetic reasons. 12 months after we purchased, we've paid thousands in repairs for a dodgy DIY job, plus a leaking gutter which was fixed but not paid for prior to going on the market. Only positive is they gave us a bottle of champagne.
