Fantastic experience: I’ve Been a landlord for over 20 years and have had multiple property managers over that time. I can truely say that Tara has definitely stood out to all who have came before her.Her professionalism and attention to detail is second to none.She’s always on top of inspections, maintenance issues and promptly reply’s to any queries I have regarding the properties I own.She genuinely makes it a stress free process which I’ve NEVER had with any of my previous managers.She is definitely an asset to the company and highly recommend Tara to any landlord who wishes their property to be managed properly. Negative experience: My Mother in laws house was recently sold by these two clowns.. Con and his sister Christine.. the campaign was week promesing they had a strong inquiry list.. and some prospective buyers.. but it was crap they had one buyer who was bidding and then was passed in.. they continued to hammer my sister and brother in law to drop the price rather than work on the purchaser to get them to the reserve.. very week as an agent i would not recommend them as they are working for them selves and will push the vender to drop his or her price so they can make the sale..

Negative experience: My experience with this agency was dreadful, Thomas was my property manager. They were appointed to manage my property, and their eagerness to sign me up, paired with promising communication, initially gave me confidence. However, the moment I signed the rental agreement and handed over my keys, they completely disappeared. My tenants caused significant damage to my property, by tampering with the plumbing without my consent and despite numerous attempts to contact the agency, they consistently failed to return my calls. Essentially, I paid for a service that was never delivered. When I tried to arrange the two required walkthroughs of my property, they avoided fulfilling their contractual obligations as my property managers. Do yourself a favor and thoroughly research who you entrust with managing your property. This agency turned the past 12 months into a nightmare for me as a landlord.

Fantastic experience: Tara is such a professional and sweet property manager. We rent a beautiful place from Barry Plant for over a year and Tara has been looking after everything, she is so understanding and always reply my messages so quickly. The best property manager I've meet.

Negative experience: It is interesting to note that all the one star reviews are by the landlords. The property managers take many liberties and do not keep proper records of inspections. I came to know that the communications between tenants and the agents was private while anything I said to the agents was shared with the tenants instantly (without my knowledge). Secondly, there were no reports/photos provided for the routine inspections. I was just told that an inspection was carried out and everything was ok, which was not the case. Thirdly, communication with Thomas (property manager) was like talking to a wall. I wrote to him on five occasions to share the photos of the backyard from the final inspection as the lawn was not looked after and had bare patches. But he never sent me those photos, instead he kept sending photos from the entry report. There were many other headaches, but you should get an idea by now. Finally, they are not cheap either as I came to know that there are agents who are charging 1% less in property management fees.

Fantastic experience: We have been renting through barry plant thomastown for almost 4 years, it was the first time i had rented before and Carla was amazing through the whole process. She explained how processes worked cause i had no clue and was very prompt in responding to anything i required in the house. Thank you so much Carla we will miss you!!

Fantastic experience: We have just started renting a property with Faye Fotiadis and it has been a wonderful experience. Finding a good rental in the current climate is stressful, let alone the often tense relationship you feel as a tenant with the agency. It's absolutely evident that Faye really cares about people, and as tenants we feel very supported and the whole process has been great. Clear and quick communication, easy to talk to, and very flexible. I would happily rent through her any time, and if I had a property to rent out I would want her to manage it.

Negative experience: Many years ago they sold my house to the father of another real estate agent. I think that is highly unethical. They never told me that the purchaser was in the industry. Wouldn't use them again.

Negative experience: If they are the last company in Melbourne to property management even then you shouldn’t hire them.Individual agent I had the misfortune of dealing with are Thomas and Faye.I have requested to speak high up was declined. The don’t treat people like people they take liberties on your property and give away keys,don’t help with timely rental payments even has issues with 2 times a week pay and then they come up with authorisation to do things with your your explicit permission. Don’t even think of hiring them and paying them with your hard earned cash.

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking to sell your house then go with Barry plant Thomastown and if I were you I’d ask for Christine Constantinou to run you campaign. She is completely different to the stereotype of a sales agent. Christine is honest and upfront, she won’t lie and tell you want you want to hear then make excuses when it doesn’t work. Christine made the whole experience of selling our house so easy and stress free. From the start I could tell she cared about myself and my family. Thanks so much

Negative experience: Initially I was very happy with Carla Vinci as property manager however, the past 12 months have proved me wrong. Barry’s Plants Handyman and Barry Plant are happy to take your money for services but not follow through with the service. With numerous complaints by tenants and landlord over the past 12 months that gutters weren’t cleaned, despite being paid for, nothing was put into action until it rained and down poured into the house in January. Barry Plant’s handyman then came forward and stated he “went to the wrong house!” but also doesn’t do double story houses. Carla and Faye state that full reimbursement to damages will be provided however, this has not been the case. I am out of pocket for insurance claim to repair the damage caused. I have taken my business elsewhere as the empty promises are not worth my property being damaged again. Barry Plant will support their tradesman more than the landlord/property. Be careful. An inspection did not occur for over 12 months either, despite the agents obligation to do so.

Negative experience: Worst experience ever - I left the house share I was living in over a year ago and I left Australia 10 months ago. I have only just this morning had confirmation that I have been taken off the lease for the house. Carla Vinci at Barry Plant has been extremely unhelpful and very rude throughout the whole process, I have sent constant emails trying to resolve the matter and it has taken a lot of patience to deal with this company, especially from England. Thankfully I will never have to deal with Barry Plant or Carla Vinci again. Stay away, stay far away!!

Fantastic experience: My husband and i applied for a rental and needed to move in urgently. We had an inspection booked on saturday the 11th of June and although there was a little hiccup with the original time booked, Tara from Barry Plant contacted us to reschedule for later that day. She was very professional, easy to contact and very polite. Of all the properties my husband and i applied for, Tara happened to be the only agent that prioritised her job to make sure her clients were looked after. We can't thank her enough for scoring us such an amazing house and on such short notice. She even gave us our keys a day earlier than we planned. I'm glad we came across the property that we did and even happier to have had Tara as our agent. I highly recommend Tara. Her work definitely reflects well onto Barry Plant. Negative experience: By far the worst real estate agency any one can ever imagine. They put in the worst possible tenants in my property and than decided never to service the property. It costed me 20000 thousand dollars to fix my property. I would never wish such an experience on anyone, be very careful of this agency
