Negative experience: BEWARE THEY DELETE 1 STAR REVIEWS Please save yourself the time and energy you are about to waste and don’t deal with this agency in any capacity. They never respond to requests from tenants on material issues in the home. Will give you the home filthy and then try rip you for your bond on the way out. They also do not prioritise owners of the property. They only do work when there is an opportunity to line their pockets in a fraudulent way. Tenants leave due to lack of communication on following up property issues and inhabitable homes. Enjoy my review while it is up. I am sure I will get asked to delete it.

Fantastic experience: Property management is a difficult game and I agree with a previous reviewer that keeping everyone happy always is rarely possible. But George and the team at Eastside have helped me for over 20 yrs to navigate very difficult situations in a calm and professional manner. They have extensive local experience and so can manage site specific issues whilst being big enough to do it professionally. Both Antigone and especially Nickie who manages my property, run a great team getting through the maze of leases, fire safety compliance, security and a myriad other issues that arise with tenacity and persistence. I feel supported and would recommend them to manage your property be it commercial or residential.

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by this agency during and at the end of my tenancy. They were incompetent and unprofessional from start to finish. They lied about the carpets being steam cleaned when we moved in — this was completely false, and we had to pay for professional carpet cleaning ourselves when we left. The property was already in poor condition at move-in, yet they still tried to charge us extra at the end. Their invoices were misleading and confusing, and they backtracked on a clear agreement — they initially agreed to waive the cleaning fee, only to demand it later. Common areas were terribly maintained throughout the entire tenancy. Stairwells and windows were filthy with cobwebs and dust, and there was zero upkeep. I would strongly advise anyone against renting through this agency. Poor communication, dishonest practices, and terrible property management.

Fantastic experience: Antigone was super professional. She overcame my suspicion about real estate agents. I am so glad my wife convinced me to go with her. She is passionate and dedicated. She WILL sell your house - and for the price you want.

Negative experience: We moved to one of their units 6 weeks ago, they gave us the apartment full of bugs, mold and filthy. They hired 2 cleaners to re clean the unit but they said mold was imbedded in the wardrobe and they couldn't do anything about it. Cornell and George don’t want to do anything to help, I'm stuck with them because I want to move out of here and they say I'm breaking the contract when they haven't fixed the problem. This has been the worst experience I have ever had renting a unit. I can’t even use the wardrobe because it stinks. What a nightmare

Negative experience: Terrible service! I turned up for an inspection 5 mins before closing the viewing to be told no I can’t look (like as if I got there too late ) & asked if I booked online (I emailed Eva the agent to book online as the website tells you to do) and yet the rude property manager said that he couldn’t find my name (so obviously the Eva Samalova didn’t do her job properly by checking emails of who booked inspections) so I drove to an inspection 5 mins before closing time for NOTHING! The rude agent said he had already given out 20 applications so he has to consider these applicants first! Unprofessional and rude & they quite obviously do not care that there is a RENTAL CRISIS and people are homeless living on their families lounges competing with rent bidders and people offering landlords 6 months rent paid in advance etc! Not worthy of one star I’m afraid!

Fantastic experience: Eastside have been managing my property for many years. Anyone who is a tenant or an owner knows there will be times when one party or the other is less than happy in a given situation. Having said that my experience with Eastside staff under George has always been positive. Eastside report to me any issues of tenant concerns and I can see that they act both in the best interests of both the tenant and myself. Rebecca always carries out her direct management role efficiently and Nicki keeps the accounting records on track. This is a small family run business and unlike some of the big franchise agencies, all Eastside staff work for the best outcomes.

Negative experience: Rented through them years ago. Terrible experience. Now went to an inspection for a property for sale on Saturday and asked for a contract and strata report. Was told would receive on Monday but it never came. Go to look online and see the property has been sold. What a total waste of time and really annoyed. Totally unprofessional.

Negative experience: was renting in the area " Nickie" the property manager has no idea on how things work , very disappointing needs to constantly blame others for things not being done , also so disappointing that these people hide behind emails wont talk face to face

Negative experience: I lived in their property for more than 5 years. West Ryde. Our first property manager- Sean was an awesome awesome bloke. He was always helpful.. we never got complaints from him..coz we kept our unit clean all the time and we never had problem with anyone for this 5 years. Sean always listened to us and cared for us. Losing Sean is a massive loss to this company. But the new property manager is very bossy. I felt that she needs to learn how to be polite and learn some humility. As we are leaving this loved unit, we also find a new tenant to Transfer the lease. Who is our friend. This is profitable for the realty coz they don't have to keep the unit empty for a single day after we leave. Our friend was very flexible on moving in date to the unit. Now we moved to our own house which we finished building recently. But this new property manager was always pushy to finalise our moving out date. Reason we couldn't give her exact date was, our newly built house's key hasn't been provided to us in time. She (new manager) never thanked us for staying 5 long years, nor she wished us for our new beginning. Shame! She was always looking for the flaws desperately. Long story short, because of this new property manager I want to give this company 1 star. And will not recommend this company to anyone afterwards. And I think our friend , new tenant to this unit, too is understanding it.

Fantastic experience: After COVID threw our move overseas into disarray, we were scrambling to find accomodation over December. Cornell at Eastside Realty came to the rescue with a short term rental in Rushcutter Bay, just across the road from the Sydney Cruising Yacht Club. We moved in the week before Christmas and had a very nice Christmas and New Years in a beautiful part of Sydney. Cornell was outstanding in organising furnishings, linen, cutlery, crockery and internet and everything required for a family to live in the unit. He was very receptive is organising things and fielding requests - even in the busy lead up to Christmas. On checking out of the apartment he even helped us out with printing travel documents we needed to catch a flight. Cornell was a lifesaver and we cannot thank him enough!

Fantastic experience: Lisa at Eastside Realty has been a fantastic property manager for the many years we've worked with her and the company (also mentioning George here, who's wonderful.) Lisa is detail-oriented, works hard and is quick to communicate with both us and with our tenants. She reports faults and issues quickly, always with contractor suggestions, which she then organises, so that we can get any problems fixed as quickly as possible. She even has her own moisture meter, to help both landlords and tenants who are dealing with mould. She really goes above and beyond! The admin team at Eastside Realty ensure that bills are paid on time, and keep everything flowing smoothly. If you're looking for a conscientious rental manager who will help keep the property in excellent condition (which is important to both the owner and the tenants) we've only had good experiences with Lisa and Eastside Realty.

Negative experience: A real estate agent at Eastside Realty conducted an "open inspection", and demonstrated xenophobic/rascist behaviour to me, the tenant. I wrote a formal letter of complaint 10 days ago, and have yet to receive any appropriate apology or response from Eastside Realty. -- The employee saw that I was of South East Asian descent. In front a room full of potential future tenants, made a racially offensive comment and left the apartment. They subsequently conducted the rest of the open inspection outside the appartment in the corridor.
