Fantastic experience: My brother , & I recently had the pleasure of working with Jena & Jim Chahine from MGM Martin Realestate regarding the sale of our property in Turrella ,& we couldn’t be more pleased with the experience , & the outcome. From our initial meeting , Jena , & Jim demonstrated a deep understanding of the local market and provided us with a comprehensive strategy in order to get the best result. Negative experience: Renting 1. Sarah the first letting agent with them pressed weekly instead of monthly on rent and yes we waited for weeks to get $3400 back and had to block our account so it didn’t keep happening every week 2. Did not disclose that fire order to tenants of our Zetland rental. We were on 13th floor. When rung and emailed about it could not explain themselves at management level on this issue. 2.Sarah Took over a month to call an electrician but kept telling us the work order was in - hardly any light in the dinning area and electrician said he had not been booked when she said he was. 3. Could not communicate with each other. Asked 3 times if we’d handed keys in by 3 different staff - thank goodness my husband took a photo of the keys as he handed them to an office on the day of end of lease 4. Took over a fortnight to bother to tell us if there were any issues with the end of lease hence about bond being released. 5.had 3 change of staff in the 12 months we rented in Zetland who we liaised with. Sara, Laura, then Dalia, and one called Jonathon who wanted to show the unit towards the end of our lease. 6. Jonathon Assumed no one works, so that one of us would always be home -“I’ll swing by at 10am maybe Monday or Tuesday to get a key off you to show the unit to possible tenants” said a man called Jonathon whilst our lease was still in place. I’m a medical specialist with a 7 month waiting list to see a patient but he assumed I’d be home at 10am - how self absorbed and entitled is he. No idea some professions save lives of people. Then he admitted they might have a key in the office after Sarah and Dalia told us they had no spare key. What did they do right 1. Replied promptly to emails The issue of the buildings fire order and not being disclosed has been taken further by my husband.

Fantastic experience: Bought a property with the help of Harry Kinezos, he was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Honest, responsive, and genuinely had our best interests in mind from start to finish.

Negative experience: Concerningly unprofessional. Jonathan Arvis cancelled an inspection 15 minutes prior to its start via junk mail & informed no one of this prior. Couldn’t imagine how poorly they treat their clients if this is the baseline interaction.

Fantastic experience: First class service from Asher Roberts who let my property at Waterloo. I received a detailed appraisal appropriate for market conditions and a quality tenant with little vacancy.

Negative experience: Extremely poor management and costly negligence I engaged MGM Martin in 2021 after purchasing a house through them. Following that transaction, I allowed MGM Martin to manage the rental of that house and also transferred a unit I already owned into their property management portfolio. The unit experienced two separate breaks of lease, in 2024 and again in 2025. On both occasions, landlord insurance was in place. Despite this, no insurance claim was lodged for either break of lease. At the time, I was working overseas and relied entirely on MGM Martin to manage my properties professionally and in my best interests. I trusted them to handle critical matters such as insurance and compliance. It was only after the second break of lease that I attended their office in person, explained the situation in detail, and was told the matter would be looked into. Nothing was done. No claim was lodged and no follow-up occurred. These failures only became fully apparent when I transferred management away from MGM Martin and reviewed the situation with a new agency. From my experience, MGM Martin appears to be highly sales-driven, while the property management function lacks accountability and follow-through. The business has also experienced significant staff turnover, which shows in the absence of ownership and responsibility. Missing an insurance claim after a break of lease is not a minor oversight. Missing it twice, across two separate years for the same property, points to systemic negligence. I have since moved my portfolio elsewhere. I would strongly warn any landlord who does not want to lose thousands of dollars in rent due to sheer negligence to stay well clear of MGM Martin.

Fantastic experience: My partner and I recently purchased this unit in Mascot after quite a long search. MGM Martin and their agent Simon Scammell were not 'our agent', he was working for the vendor, but he ended up being a constant source of encouragement and support. Simon answered all our questions in a timely manner, helped with additional access to the property to assist our decision-making and facilitated the conversations between the two sets of lawyers. If we ever need to sell, I'll be speaking with Simon! Many thanks for all your help.

Fantastic experience: Simon Scammell at MGM Martin sold our apartment in Alexandria . The sale was quick and fair , with several offers all around the indicated price . To us , it showed Simon was professional and knowledgeable , and knew the market well . Fantastic experience: We recently sold our unit with Peter (Phyo) from MGM Martin, and the experience was exceptional. Peter is always punctual, an excellent communicator, and a fantastic deal-maker. We highly recommend him and MGM, especially if you are in the Zetland market.

Negative experience: The service quality from this agency has plummeted since their restructure. They allocated a new property manager to us without any notice, which was unprofessional from the start. The new agent showed no care for our property. The tenant broke their lease and caused damage, yet the agent refused to claim from the bond and left me to prepare all the documents myself. Only because of my own effort did the tenants end up paying for the damage — something the agent should have handled. On top of that, the agent gave us completely incorrect advice about the rental market. We ignored it, set the rent ourselves, and the property was leased at the first open inspection. After almost five years of collecting fees from us, this agency has shown no respect for their clients. Extremely disappointing experience.

Fantastic experience: We have used MGM Martin Zetland to manage a property in the local area for over 8 years. In that time we have had two dedicated property managers who have provided excellent personal service. A good example of the level of service is a recent experience of installing a new air conditioner in our property. Laura managed the entire process including engaging contractors to provide quotes, negotiating with strata to gain approval and management of the installation. Laura provided timely updates and made the entire process easy. It was a pleasure working with her.

Negative experience: Stephani Di Blasio, Our property manager…. Already one year, she doesn't help us. So making hard for us as a tenants, might be guys your property empty and you guys doesn't know what the property manager done to tenants, so just be careful!

Where could you spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on something and get poor rude service, and treated with completely disregard. MGM Martin is where. My experience with Victor left me making sure when I moved, the agent was not MGM Martin.

Fantastic experience: My rental agent Victor Rong is really great. He saved me a lot of trouble. And saved a lot of time and money. He is the best agent I have seen in Sydney in the past ten years. You must rent a house with him.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience with MGM Martin, particularly with an agent named Victor Rong. Upon vacating the property, I made sure the house was left very clean—better than when I moved in. Despite this, they attempted to charge me $850 without providing any invoices, photo evidence, or legitimate justification. To make matters worse, Victor Rong proposed that I accept this unfair deduction in exchange for one day’s rent, which felt highly inappropriate and unprofessional. I decided to lodge an application with the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal for a rental bond order, and I won the case. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, and I strongly urge others to be cautious when dealing with MGM Martin. Always know your rights and don’t hesitate to challenge unfair practices. I certainly will not be renting through this agency again.

Fantastic experience: Exceptional and efficient customer service . My agent is Emine, she is responsive, efficient and thorough. Really appreciated her efficiency when trying to find a rental in mascot area. MGM's technology is definitely far superior than other agents in the area thatvI doubt with. Both the agents I dealt with were personable, which was not the experience I had with a few of the agents in the area prior to working with MGM.

Fantastic experience: Good Result. Peter was able to sell my unit in a matter of weeks despite a slight downturn in the market. Even though the selling price was lower than initial expectations, Peter did indicate that the market had dropped and other units were taking a lot longer to sell. Fantastic experience: My wife and I entered the property market as landlords in 2012 as complete amateurs and initially made classic mistakes of not really shopping around for things like landlords’ insurance. Fortunately, we met Sarah Willing at an MGM Martin Christmas function. We found Sarah to be remarkable, with her immediately being able to save us money by using a specialist landlords insurance company rather than the one we were using. Sarah acted for us as we increased our property portfolio and was able to manage our property in an exceptionally professional manner. In the twelve years we dealt through Sarah, we rarely had vacant weeks, property inspections were very thorough, difficult tenants were handled professionally, and lease renewals handled on time and with regular rent increases. I cannot recommend MGM Martin, especially Sarah Willing highly enough as property managers. Negative experience: MGM Martin Zetland threatened to evict me while I was at my fathers wedding after they sent me the wrong bank details over and over for weeks on end. These people are scum of the earth, avoid these inhuman agents at all costs. After I ended my lease they then tried to scam me out of an additional cleaning bill after I paid there own cleaning company for an end of lease clean. MGM Martin then attempted to undo what they had promised (which was supposed to be an easy and quick solution to paying for cleaners) and tried to rob me of hundreds of more dollars. Regardless of the amount of time that's passed, you and your team did the above and your poor business practices and even worse ethics are to blame. Unfortunate that only when called out on a google review do they attempt to repair the relationship... even if years later. Pathetic.
