Fantastic experience: I've used McGrath to sell 2 properties and lease another. Susie O'Brian sold them - amazing prices for both, great service (Manly Office). I've recently has Liam Miles as a my rental agent (with Mackenzie Pitt) and he's been spectacular as well. When challenges have been faced, he's been calm and collected, and we've worked through it with rational conversations and outcomes. I would not look ANY further in the future.

Fantastic experience: 5/80 West Esplanade, Manly, NSW 2095…….. Liam has found a tenant for the above property (at $1,300pw). The request was fully furnished with no parking/limited parking. This was not an easy exercise, even in today’s easy climate…..and being a mother and daughter (overseas) set up. 100 % and more for everything - communication and understanding.

Negative experience: Not a great time these guys put myself and my heavily pregnant wife through lots of unneeded stress with their cut throat sales techniques. From not showing up and having us wait for over 1 hour to sign contracts. Overall a very poor experience. Particularly avoid Tim Cullen he was a slippery gypsy!

Negative experience: Good to see the nepotism and shoddy tactics are alive and well at McGrath Estate Agents. The young Asian leasing agent John has struck again. My partner and I applied recently for a rental property after viewing it the same day and had all the necessary documentation, had the funds and we have an impeccable rental history. We both applied through the t-App and it was easy and quick. The next day my partner received notification from her boss that they received a reference check email from the real estate. I had not received any messages from either my boss or my references to say they had been contacted. 2 days went by and I contacted John personally by phone to ask if the application was good and if he needed any more information. He replied “Ah……yes….my colleague has been away and we are a bit behind processing paperwork, but all being well your application will be presented to the owner tomorrow." Tomorrow came and nothing had changed, except online John was showing ANOTHER inspection for the property, and then still nothing checked on our applications, it had totally stopped. Then we saw on the rental website "DEPOSIT Taken" after the 2nd viewing for the property. How un professional. Curiosity got the better of me and I have logged into the t-App and my application has no signs of even being looked at or processed to start checks. I hope John’s “friends” enjoy their new rental property and I am all for that “just because you apply for a property there is no guarantee you will be accepted” but this new tactic employed by McGrath Estate Agents leaves you wondering. It would have been nice to have been told that we weren’t successful (not guaranteed I know), but to not be given a chance to be even seen by the landlord is on the nose. Also why do property agents keep showing the property when you have had people apply?

Fantastic experience: Gavin Daly worked morning, noon and night to get us the best price for our family home in Manly Vale. He is professional, hard working with only one thing in mind, getting the best price for his clients. We received $160k over the reserve as a result.

Positive experience: The person who sold my property was fantastic but when he left company I was not informed and had little or no contact or information from agency.

Negative experience: Terrible lying company. They ask you to put down an offer and use your offer to against other buyer. After all not even mail back your cheque and contract. Please avoid ---------- Follow up my comments. The agent who lying all the time name Tim. Watch out when you deal with him

Negative experience: Paris and Chantelle require additional training on how to provide good customer service, as the service I received from them was appalling at best. Disappointed that McGrath allow their company run offices to be so unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Great agents. Process was seamless and comfortable

Negative experience: They are terrible rental agents, never received any statements during the rental period up to now and rent sometimes doesnt even go in unless i complain. One of their agents suggested i "sell" my property. Their sales agent is hopeless he is way overpriced and contracts sent to be signed aren't even filled in correctly with the wrong date and spelling. Went with fixed fee agent instead and they were very professional and saved 15 grand! Now they are threatening to sue me for this post! Even though its all true, beware!

Positive experience: Another real estate agent that refuses to admit their advertising material is junk mail. Will be removing 1 star for every piece of mail that I get. Just received another piece of junk mail. It's just rude and disrespectful. Still clearly says no junk mail, nothing's changed.

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Matt McEwan highly enough. His calm, professional attitude is exactly what you need when you are selling your property and his knowledge of the market is second to none.

Negative experience: Worst experience in 30 years of buying real estate. Don’t return phone calls. Lie and say they had. Accept your offer and then gazump you as your solicitor is exchanging. Lie about it happening. Continue to send emails as if everything is ok. Lie and say they called. Tim Cullen is a compulsive liar with a bad reputation on the beaches, now we know why. Avoid at all costs.

Fantastic experience: I have been a landlord utilising McGrath as my management agency for over a year, and whilst my tenants began behaving terribly commercially and socially and were close to being evicted, if I had had my way. Their behaviour tried and tested my last letting agent and it wasn’t until her replacement came in at the start of the year, that things turned around. When McGrath hired Natalie at the beginning of this year and appointed her to my property, not only did she managed to sort out the tenants which have taken up more than the average amount of an agents time, she saved a business relationship that was going very south, and has personally been very professional and in the face of a tough set of awkward and hard work tenants, she has been the upmost smooth and calm conduit between them and myself. Negative experience: They list an apartment for open inspection twice and BOTH TIMES within one week they don't show up and don't update Domain! The phone numbers go straight to voicemail and text messages go unanswered.

Negative experience: Just been on hold on their main office line for 17.5 minutes, and it went to voicemail. Unbelievable that nobody picks up a main office line at 2pm in the afternoon.

Fantastic experience: I would have to rate McGrath Estate Agents in Manly as one of the best agencies I have been working with to find a property in the rental market on the Northern Beaches. In particular Mitchell Longrigg would have to be one the nicest guys in the industry, he is very professional and extremely efficient.
