Negative experience: The real estate agency failed to ensure that all display furniture was removed before settlement. After settlement, two people from the furniture rental company entered my property through the front door without knocking, notifying me, or obtaining my permission to collect the remaining furniture. This was an unacceptable trespass and a serious breach of my privacy. The agency should have properly coordinated the removal before settlement or, at the very least, ensured I was contacted beforehand.

Fantastic experience: Extremely experienced realtor. Peng drew on his lengthy experience to provide us with a competitive but accurate estimate of the achievable sale price. He then followed through by quickly making the sale at that price. Thanks Peng.

Negative experience: I had a frustrating experience with BigginScott Mitcham’s rental agents. I requested a property inspection at a convenient time since I, like many others, have work and family responsibilities that make weekday inspections difficult. When I reached out for a Saturday appointment, I got a confusing response – after initially asking for my availability, the agent then replied as they had no idea which property I was referring to. "The agent then replied as they had no idea which property I was referring to!"It felt unprofessional and poorly handled. For those considering renting through BigginScott Mitcham, be aware that the team may not accommodate after-hours inspections, making it challenging for those with weekday obligations to view properties. In my experience, more flexible scheduling and clearer communication is leaking from the agency.

Negative experience: My property was poorly managed and did not take any actions with the damages reported. Very unprofessional by not responding to subsequent enquiries. Highly NOT recommended.

Negative experience: Had BSM to look after my rental property but upon handover the place was left dirty, smelly and locally damaged. Consulted with BSM but basically was told its my problem, not tenants, not theirs. Forget about due diligence as a decent property manager. Your quality of service simply not good and will not be recommended.

During that time, I was constantly having to reach out and received no leads from my previous real estate agent. Then, Thuy stepped in and turned things around beyond my expectations. Negative experience: I had a frustrating experience attempting a lease transfer. Initially, the agent claimed to be unaware of the process and advised me to send a notice to vacate the property. After I sent the email, clarifying my intention to transfer the lease, the agent insisted that I was breaking the lease and demanded a break lease fee. I sought advice from consumer affairs, and they informed me that the agent should not unreasonably withhold consent for a lease transfer or assignment. Despite this, the agent remains uncooperative, either by not granting consent or by declining applicants without responding to emails. Very unprofessional. I do not recommend this agency. ————————————————————————— Hi Peng. Thank you for your prompt response. I must express my disappointment regarding your agent's understanding of Victoria's rental laws. Initially, they seemed unaware of the lease transfer/assignment process and advised me to issue a notification to vacate, implying that I intended to break the lease when, in reality, my intention was to transfer it. My discussion with Consumer Affairs clarified my legal right to transfer/assign the lease. However, I am unable to find any specific clauses that mention transferring a lease to a friend or family member. If you could kindly identify the relevant clause, it would greatly assist in making sense of the situation. Should you have valid reasons to reject the assignment, I kindly request that you send an email outlining the reasons and the expected outcome. I have made every effort to minimize losses for both myself and the landlord and believe this transfer is the most suitable course of action, unless you recommend an alternative solution. Lastly, I hope that through this communication, your agency can demonstrate a higher level of professionalism, befitting its stature.

Negative experience: Very poor support of tenants, maintenance requests not fulfilled, only in it for the landlord.

Fantastic experience: I have been a tenant at Biggin and Scott for over 26 years, been in the same property for 25 years . In all my dealings with them ,the property manager Fiona Tennant has been absolutely outstanding.Her professionalism and experience was evident from the first moment I contacted her . Fiona’s communication skills are brilliant and she follows up on any maintenance issues very promptly. We recently had a bathroom updated and the way in which Fiona managed the project was amazing . I knew exactly what time each of tradesman were arriving and the work they were doing.All of whom were reliable. The transformation was incredible. Negative experience: I don't know if SUSIE BEALE still with this company, a few years ago, because I didn't use the cleaning company she gave me when I checked out, she INSULTED me on the last inspection of the house, she said her dog didn't want to live in this house. And without my consent, I used my pounds to call the cleaning company she knew. Afterwards, I knew that her cleaning company only spent 15 minutes cleaning the house!!! If she feels there is nothing wrong with her actions, I hope her children or family members have an agency like her.

Fantastic experience: Sold!͏ Vermont The market is pretty tough right now, interest rates rising, prices dropping. Despite this we got a good result for our sale. Tarran and Tim persisted, thought outside the box, renegotiated, and worked with us to sell our home. Both upheld positive communication, respect and understanding as we rode the roller coaster of this current housing market!

Negative experience: Rude & inconsiderate. Registered for an inspection that was advertised to inspect at 2:15 - 2:45 and the agent left at 2:30 (we got there at 2:35). After I called the agent he proceeded to lie and say it was only open until 2:30 which I also have a photo of. The least he could do was call us to ask where we are, considering it took us 30 minutes to get there and 30 minutes back home. For context, the agent was Peng Chung.

Fantastic experience: Professional͏ and serves both parties with honesty and integrity. For our home purchase, Taraan was highly professional and demonstrated sound market knowledge. He provides a very reliable and responsive service. He is well spoken and we gained solid confidence and trust from his approach. My wife and I were very pleased in his particular effort to achieve our successful purchase. From our September to October 2022 experience, my wife and I would comfortably recommend Tarran for representing both buyer and seller in his market area.

Negative experience: Agents from this branch is not trustworthy at all. The agent did not ask professional cleaners to do an end of lease cleaning. However, the agent asked us agree to refund the full bond. The tenants mentioned the property never been cleaned before they moved in. This is the reason why the tenants refused to pay for the end of lease cleaning. As well as, the property has been slightly damaged. I asked about the entry condition report, but the agent said they could NOT find any… The most unacceptable thing was that the agent told me if you see the property, it’s not too bad. That was the reason why I should refund full bond without any cleaning or maintenance. The agent rarely reported any damages or maintenance requests to us during the 5 year period tenancy. The agents are not professional, not trustworthy. We would not recommend they to any others. I have to give them 1 star which I think they are not worth any star. Please please AVOID this agent.

Negative experience: I am surprised reading the positive reviews for Biggin & Scott Mitcham as my experiences were far from professional and very poor. We dealt with the real estate agent Lauriana Francia for a rental property and my experience was the worst I have had. Multiple defects in the property (including the oven exploding) and no reply to phone calls or emails even when escalating the matter to the directors. Lauriana also was unprofessional in managing the landlords and this was a constant issue as they were frequently attending the property unannounced. Would not recommend.

Negative experience: This is an unscrupulous intermediary. I had a very unpleasant experience of renting a house. The intermediary broke into the house without permission and hid the housing problems.

Negative experience: Useless agency ever. They don’t even bother to call you whether your application has been successful or not. When I called to find out the outcome I was told some else’s application went through and they’re just finalizing their lease. When I asked for an explanation I was told that there were many applications that came through so ours didn’t get successful. I mean really?? If you deny someone’s application you should have strong reason otherwise we’re not fools who waste their time in inspecting the property and applying for the application. Total disappointment Ray white is much better

Negative experience: We were renting through Rose Real Estate earlier this year and had an open for inspection forced on us with all our furnishings and private items on show even though we had declined their request to do this.

Fantastic experience: I have been a tenant under Rose Real Estate since the end of 2007 and have always found them to be professional, friendly and prompt. While I believe the owners of my set of flats are not particularly interested in maintenance or other similar things, when I've had a problem (i.e. the air-conditioner causing the fuse switch to turn off) they've responded very promptly without issue. The information given on moving in is above standard for a real estate agency - it includes who to call for emergency repairs - and they're happy to accept my fortnightly rental payments via BPay even though it means my rent is often ahead by some random amount (I know that sounds obviously a good thing for them, but not all agents are so accommodating). I've not had a single complaint with them in 5 years, and I believe this will continue.
