Negative experience: Don't recommend renting through them. Read your contracts carefully prior to signing any lease extension as they charge 4weeks rent upon vacation of property even with proper notice. They have promised reduction of rent during construction of granny flat at the back of the property leased upon which I have lost access, garage space and garden yet no reduction was made and all we heard were excuses. They cut corners take all your bond deposit as well.Dont recommend to any tenant. Upon vacating, office and landlord were trying to reno the property on my back sending invoices for cutting and clearing of trees that were already in when I moved in 2 years ago. Dishonest and very unethical RE. Never rent from these people.

Negative experience: This is the worst real estate I have ever dealt with and Emma, a property manager there is the worst person I have ever been in contact with. I have always had a perfect rental history and have never had an issue with a real estate until Stone RE. Emma is an unethical and conniving dishonest person. She made false promises and then lied repeatedly to me and I had witnesses to this phone conversation and she still kept lying, not only to me but to my witness. Do not trust this real estate and in particular, Emma. Note to Real Estate - You can write whatever lies you want but Emma knows what she said to me, despite her denying it. Disgraceful, disappointing and deeply frustrating dealings with Stone RE.

Negative experience: This real estate is dishonest. Do not deal with this real estate. They are nice to you to get your business but as soon as something goes wrong they cover up and are dishonest. And don’t say I haven’t done business with you because you know exactly who I am. You treat people in a dishonest way and you get the truth on your reviews. Maybe next time you won’t tell your clients lies to avoid bad publicity. In this instance you deserve all the bad publicity you get. Zero stars. Edit: I pointed out that Emma lied, this is not abuse, it is fact. This is Brad so yes I was a tenant and have every right to comment on your shonky business as I told you I would over the phone. Your disgusting reply shows what type of people you are. Please refrain from lying to your customers in the future. Thank you

Negative experience: We recently applied for a property with Stone and received a call from the utilities company congratulating us on approval and offering help setting up utilities. When I told them we had received no message from Stone about approval or a lease, they said I should be receiving the message soon. I get an email from Stone saying I wasn't approved. I call Stone and an employee explains our profile was given to the utilities by mistake as an "admin error" and the issue is "rectified". I may be homeless in two weeks and I already have a history of mental health issues, so the relief of finding out you're approved and having the rug pulled out from under you I believe is one of the cruelest things a person can legally do. I ask to put in a complain for the issue to be further investigated and the employee replies "I said it was an admin error and it's been rectified." My partner gets an email with a list of properties of Stone is also offering as the closest thing to a proper apology real estate agents can muster and most of them are twice the price in rent. What a joke! People are desperate for homes and willing to give up so much personal information on the off chance these agents might give us a house and we don't have any of their respect. Must be nice getting to pick who's homeless and who's not while living comfortably.

Negative experience: My partner and I recently purchased a property through Stone Real Estate, with Sarah and Lana as our agents. We submitted an offer prior to auction, and Lana informed us it had been accepted, prompting us to pay the 10% deposit and sign the contracts immediately. We complied, despite constant pressure from them to finalise the contracts quickly. After signing and now waiting on the vendor to sign, we were shocked to learn that the agency was still reaching out to other buyers in an attempt to secure a higher offer. We found this to be highly unethical, especially after we had paid the full deposit and signed the contract on our end. Sarah’s justification was that it was "standard procedure" and in the vendor's interest. However, we feel it was completely wrong to do this after accepting our deposit and pushing us to sign so urgently. To make matters worse, Fair Trading advised us that we should not have been asked to pay the full 10% deposit before signing the contracts – only a holding deposit was necessary. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise against purchasing through Stone Real Estate. Their practices are unfair, unethical, and driven purely by greed.

Negative experience: Working with Kai Rovere was disappointing due to his lack of honesty and poor communication. He often provided inconsistent information and failed to follow up on important details, making it hard to trust his guidance. At times, he even made statements that later proved misleading, leaving me frustrated and questioning his reliability. I wouldn’t recommend Kai if you’re looking for a straightforward and transparent real estate experience

Fantastic experience: Fantastic team, Kaleah the property manager was beyond helpful with my daughters first rental. Always super quick on replying to emails and attending to requests. Beautiful office in Wollongong, easy to get to and wonderful staff on reception desk. Highly recommend using Stone, Kaleah for a rental property.

Negative experience: I had a frustrating experience with this real estate company. The kitchen range hood was incredibly noisy and not functioning properly. After requesting a replacement, they simply stated, “It works, sorry.” It took a handyman to advocate for me before they finally listened. Additionally, I asked multiple times for a broken soap dish in the bathroom to be fixed. I even cut myself on it before they finally addressed the issue (years later). Their lack of responsiveness and unwillingness to take care of necessary repairs was disappointing. I also had issues with my move out. Unfortunately the professional bond cleaners I organised missed some spots eg dusting on light shades, some mould spots on the blinds and left hair in the drain. I was given the opportunity to rectify and I personally returned to address these cleaning issues - I was told to organise this via the selling agent. A week later the property manager claimed she was aware I hadn’t rectified anything. I had to have the selling agent confirm that I did fix it, but then she blamed him for not informing her or me. This contradiction shows a serious lack of communication and accountability. Overall, I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable property management.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience dealing with Stone Real Estate in Wollongong. Jane was a great property manager during our rental tenancy. I also had a great experience with the team during a property purchase, getting excellent support by Jamie and Darnell.

Fantastic experience: I have never encountered such an organised and professional real estate agency as Stone Real Estate! Our property manager, Hayley, made our transition between properties in just two weeks incredibly smooth. Being heavily pregnant added a lot of stress for my family, but she handled everything seamlessly. Hayley’s communication and responsiveness were exceptional. Even the email from Stone notifying clients about a change in property managers was a first for us. We are truly grateful for the outstanding service from Hayley and the entire team!
