Negative experience: If you are looking for a property manager, choose very carefully. Failed to inform me my tenant had moved out until I emailed them, and this is a sample of the state my place was left in at end of lease. This was checked and approved by the PM. Zoom in - those grease splatters take a lot of elbow grease to scrub off. Yes, I contacted them, and they basically said it would be too hard to get the cleaners back in to fix it.

Negative experience: I had water in my shop with all the rain recently and my PM has not called me once, not once has she come out to assess the damage, not once has she called me to express her concerns or to tell me the process of what is going to happen. I just kept getting told its a body corporate issue and I need to deal with them!! Is a PM not my point of contact? So I'm supposed to go fight for my landlords asset myself? What's the point of having a PM. I also rang up and spoke to the owner of MMJ over a week ago. He told me he would look into it and call me back its been well over a week and I haven't received a call back yet. Clearly why the staff are the way they are as the owner doesn't even keep his word. Then I spoke to someone else at MMJ and I voiced my concerns about mould building up and water behind the wall. Her response was well when that happens we will deal with it. WHAT? Why would you wait for mould to build up instead of eliminating the risk of mould building up and and fixing the issue now? Do they not care about their clients assest? I understand it's a body corporate issue but the agent should be making sure that body corporate is going to do the right thing by their clients landlord and Tennant.i really do not like putting 1 star reviews up as i am a business owner myself but I have given MMJ many chances to live up to their responsibilities and they haven't. Mostly upset as the OWNER has still not called me back. I will take this review down if they take responsibility for their actions other wise it stays up. P.s. this leak occurred 2 years ago it was small. A bandaid fix was put on it by body corporate and now two shops have filled up with water. I have been left with over $1000 out of pocket damaged to my personal belongings which I have been told I need to cover even though it was due to the lack of maintenance and negligence by body corporate. My opinion is that MMJ as my representative agents should have pushed to make sure it was done correctly in the first place. If I have to fight for myself and my landlord then I dont see a point in having an agent except to pay rent to. Thanks

This level of dominance means tenants don't have many alternative agencies to choose from. But I'm happy that even without many other options, this one has proven to be the best. Fantastic experience: Having only been in Australia for a few weeks, Tommy and the MMJ team were really helpful in finding us a rental property but also really efficient with the lease turn around. The turn around from application to lease being signed was about a week which was really amazing! Tommy was always available via email and phone to answer our questions once we got the keys. Negative experience: Avoid MMJ Wollongong – Unethical and Unfair Rental Practices My experience with MMJ Wollongong has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. We gave them proper notice that we were vacating the premises, yet they still attempted to unfairly charge us an extra week's rent just to take more money from us. This is completely unacceptable and unethical. Additionally, they imposed an unjustified rent increase that did not comply with the NSW rental laws, exceeding the usual yearly increase without valid reasoning. Despite our attempts to challenge this through NCAT, we were left without a fair resolution. Their practices feel exploitative, and it’s clear they do not operate with tenant rights in mind. If you're considering renting through MMJ Wollongong, be cautious—document everything and know your rights, because they will try to take advantage where they can. Would NOT recommend dealing with them!

Negative experience: We found the worst real estate property in this area and would not recommend it at all. We had booked an inspection recently 3/29 Bellevue Road, Figtree with Ms. Carmen Smith as the property agent. After seeing the property, we informed her that we had applied online, but she showed little interest in our application and didn't even bother to check our application number that we provided her. Moreover, she only seemed interested in talking to Aussie couples who had attended on that day. I could sense the racism in her attitude. Anyways, I would advise my dear friends to stay away from such companies, or Ms. Smith needs to learn what customer service really means. Thanks.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, we dealt with unresponsive individuals who lacked empathy for their tenants. We signed a six-month lease for Unit 85, 214-220 Prices Highway, Fairy Meadow NSW 2500, intending to stay longer. The place seemed nice and convenient. Unfortunately, after we settled in, we discovered that someone in the building was constantly smoking, and the smoke was penetrating into our main bedroom through the walls/ducts/power sockets, making our main bedroom uninhabitable. Despite requesting assistance, the agent didn't address the issue, leaving us in an unsafe environment. Ultimately, we decided to break the lease, requesting a waiver for the break fee. Despite giving sufficient notice and informing our key handover on December 22nd, the agent sent a break lease fee invoice on the evening of December 21st, 2023. I settled it promptly. After handing over the keys and claiming our bond, we received calls and SMS threats from MMJ regarding unpaid invoices and our rental history. However, I did not have any outstanding in my rental account. To my knowledge, the property was rented twice in 2023, with both the previous tenants and us breaking the lease. The previous tenant (before us) broke the lease within a few months; l assume it would be for the same reason. If we were informed before signing the lease, we wouldn't have chosen this place. Disclosing health hazards is the agent's responsibility. The place is rented again, I suspect the agent hasn't disclosed the smoking hazards to the new tenants. I know MMJ Wollongong won't take this seriously. But it is my responsibility to share my experience.

Negative experience: With the exclusion of agent Daniel Spinelli, the conduct of this firm is disingenuous! 'Caveat emptor'..buyer beware!.

Negative experience: This company is completely out of pocket with harassing phone calls, I have been receiving calls and text from multiple employees from this business I have told them more than 15 times over 1.5 years that they need to stop, and then they keep going , I have never been or used this company so they are obviously data fishing for scam related business which is not acceptable ! Terrible company I recommend take your business elsewhere !

We of course could not request anyone move immediately out of our own properties nor would we want to inconvenience our tenants. In finding I had to urgently go through the apply process MMJ were the most professional, the most diligent in response and the loveliest to deal with. I found other agencies non responsive, and with some unfortunately unprofessional. As now a tenant and also a landlord I understand both sides of the fence and having to go through the process can be difficult however MMJ made the process comfortable and honourable treatment with beautiful integrity.
