Negative experience: It was so bad trying to get out the unit and they will just tell me to pay and the will bother you I insist on not renting here for it’s bad and when they come in for an inspection they are so strict.

Fantastic experience: I chose the Agency to be the property managers for our home turned rental in Toowoomba after meeting David Snow very briefly. He seemed old school, professional, and thorough and I thought The Agency could be a great fit for renting our property. I was put in touch with Chanel who has gone above and beyond to achieve the best outcomes for us. We came to them late in December before Christmas, and she worked efficiently to get everything organised as quick as possible before they closed down. She arranged a time to inspect the property that suited my working hours which was amazing and quickly sourced a photographer. Chanel and her team did thorough checks on potential tenants and saved us from having tenants with a bad rental history entering our property. We have worked tirelessly for 4 years renovating this house and she understood it was important to find us someone who would look after it. Chanel has been available outside of hours and is always quick and professional with any responses or queries. She has been accomodating with communicating with us while we’ve been overseas. I cannot fault her. We have 2 other investment properties and The Agency is miles ahead of them in terms of service, communication, and professionalism. I feel safe knowing our property is in their capable hands.

Negative experience: I would not recommend The Agency Toowoomba based on our experience as tenants. From the beginning, the property was in poor condition — the house was unclean, and the front gate was literally being held together with a dog toy. We raised these issues with Ally our agent, but our concerns were disregarded. Communication throughout the lease was consistently lacking. Our agent frequently failed to inform us of maintenance jobs, leaving us scrambling to make arrangements, including unnecessarily locking our dog up for full days while we were at work — with no explanation or follow-up. When it came time to end our lease, we clearly communicated our intention to vacate both in writing and in person. However, we were later told that our notice was invalid because we hadn’t filled in a specific form — a form that was never mentioned until it was too late. As a result, we were forced to pay additional rent, which felt deeply unfair. When I attempted to raise these concerns, the agent responded in an unprofessional and threatening manner, took feedback personally, and showed little willingness to engage constructively or improve. I won't lie that after this confrontation, I cried and it clouded my thoughts for weeks. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend leasing or renting through this business. Our experience was disappointing, frustrating, and at times, distressing.

However, I have found Bronwyn Evans to exceed expectations and go above and beyond in the management of my property. When I was interested initially in the property, Bronwyn did a drive by to review the property for me. Her communication, willingness to assist, responsiveness and problem solve is outstanding. I cannot recommend McAdam and Turnbull highly enough.

Fantastic experience: The Agency Toowoomba and specifically Ally manage my rental houses. It is wonderful to work with Ally as she and the team do what they say they are going to do. Ally has organised and overseen some refits, upgrades and large repairs to my houses very effectively. Ally and the team go the extra mile and are a pleasure to work with.

Negative experience: Our experience with Ally was bad from the beginning. To start with, they charged us for entry to the property from a date earlier than we had agreed upon, and we had to pay for 3 extra nights that we didn't stay in the apartment. During our stay, we didn't have any issues except for dealing with ants in the house every day, which they refused to fumigate and were there before we arrived (not a big problem). But the worst and most important thing of all was the checkout and the end of the contract. We were very careful when leaving and hired a professional carpet cleaner and a professional house cleaning service. We spent a lot of money to ensure the house was spotless and met the required standards, but according to the real estate agency's criteria, this was not enough. They accused us of dirtying objects we didn't use and furniture we didn't even open, such as parts of the laundry room that had dirt from long ago (we were there for only 4 months). On top of all this, they made us pay for another full cleaning on everything that was already clean at an absurd price. We honestly felt cheated, and there was nothing we could do except leave a review on Google. If you're going to rent a property with this real estate agency (if you have no other option), I recommend making a video on the first day of rental of all the furniture. The service was terrible, and they put us through a very bad time.
