Negative experience: Very disappointing experience. Mould was present from the start of our tenancy and was ignored, only getting worse over time. There were ongoing roof and water leaks that were never properly fixed, only temporary patches that they called “solutions.” The decking became unsafe and has been fenced off since December, leaving part of the property unusable. Over the past year especially, we’ve had to deal with constant disruptions, with people regularly entering the property to inspect, quote, and carry out works, which was extremely inconvenient. They consistently shift the blame onto tenants instead of taking responsibility. There was a clear lack of accountability, transparency, and honesty. It was very clear their interests were in protecting the owner, not supporting tenants. I would not recommend leasing through them.

Update: Corresponding to the reply from LJ hooker/Bankstown : you can find out from Murhaf what he had promised. It sounds everything will be well under controlled by him and LJ hooker Bankstown in regarding of 6 weeks rent arrears and compensation for damaged assets.

Negative experience: The tenant vacated with 6 weeks outstanding rent and assets damages. This agent told me he will use bond to offset outstanding rent and disagree that bond is not to be used for rental payment purposes. I am literally losing 6 weeks rent and assets damages cost more than 4 weeks bond. Extreme unprofessional and inappropriate property and tenant management skill.

I contacted Chedi with the intention of listing my development land through his team. It’s a dream listing for most agents—no tenants to deal with, no staging, no weekend open houses, no fuss. Just a piece of land that savvy developers can view on Google Maps and research via the council website. Low effort, high reward. Most agents would jump at the opportunity. Chedi was polite at first, asked a few questions, and then the next day texted me saying my property had already been offered "off-market" to builders. I clarified straight away: we had tested the water with a few developers, but now I wanted to appoint a proper, experienced agent—hence reaching out to him. I even praised his team’s experience. You’d think that would be enough for a professional response. Apparently not. Chedi didn’t even bother replying after that. I suppose in his mind, the moment a seller doesn’t follow the script perfectly, they must have "commitment issues" and aren’t worth the time. Makes you wonder—if he treats property owners like this, what would he do to potential buyers who are ready to make a decent offer, but who he decides aren’t “serious enough”? Let that sink in. Real estate is often a person’s life savings. Agents are already paid handsomely—often more than what the work realistically deserves—so the least they can do is engage properly and professionally with all possibilities. If you like arrogance, assumptions, and silence, go ahead and give HJ Hooker Bankstown a call. If not, do yourself a favor and find an agent who actually values your time—and your property.

Negative experience: I wish I could give zero stars, this place and their employees are horrible. Terrible communication, unprofessional, rude and dodgy. Not only was my landlord dodgy, causinf me and my neighbojrs of his property to move out, part of the bond money they stole from me was unwarranted. Would try to avoid dealing with these people at all costs if you can. They accused me of things I didn't do, didn't do anything I asked for during my tenancy and then tried to hold it against me when I left
