Fantastic experience: I could not be happier with Michael and the experience of selling my deceased father's unit through him. I always knew it was going to be a difficult time to sell with 10 interest rate rises, high inflation and flattened prices in the Kogarah area. Michael and I discussed this at length and he was honest with me and did not sugar coat it. There were a few hurdles with some ongoing work to be completed at the property prior to the sale. I valued his advice on what level of preparation was required to sell. During this time he was patient and offered his assistance in any way, he kept in contact with me until the works were completed and all the associated clean up work was done after. An excellent marketing campaign that Michael created, saw a record number of people through on the first inspection and a great deal of interest in the property. His dealings with my tenant were very respectful, he was polite and considerate which I appreciated. Michael is one of those hard working, trusting, honest people and he is also a really nice man. Fantastic experience: Below was my experience with Raine & Horne Kogarah, especially Michael and Betty, For those who don’t want to go through the wall of text: it was nothing short of professional and amazing services. But for those who wants to know more about my experience, here goes… I had the chance to meet Michael over 4 years ago while looking for our first property in Kogarah. He was ENTHUSIASTIC (yes, in bold!), full of positive energy and got things done like a breeze! Through out the process, he was being very upfront about everything, from how the processes work to known issues of the property i was interested in. And just like that, we bought our first property to welcome our new born…. Fast forward to December 2021, our situation changed and we needed to move again. “Remember me when you need any help with your property rental”, that’s what he said when we were moving in, and that’s exactly what I did. And again, like 4 years ago, he offered us his expert advises on things to do, how the market is going and what would be the best range to be in to get it leased asap. This time, Betty was looking after us with our first open inspection…and also last :). Within TWO WEEKS of the inspection, 4 days before Christmas, in the middle of the Covid pandemic, they found us our tenant! I was baffled and almost **** myself worrying that i won’t make it in time. It was that quick! I couldn’t remember if i have thanked Betty enough for her help with all this so THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR EXCELLENT SERVICE! With the hundred of photos you took and your attention to detail during our brief meeting time, i have no doubt that our property will be well looked after. Negative experience: I requested to rent a property with them and I paid for deposit and bond. I hadn’t signed anything and my mum the next day felt like she didn’t want to move. I was very lucky to get my bond back from RBO but they kept a whole weeks rent “because they had taken the property out of the market”. For 24 hours. Completely ridiculous when someone hasn’t signed A single piece of paper to have their money taken for no reason. Would recommend the agency at all.And let me note that the property was on the market for quite a long time and with no one showing interest for at least the last one and a half months
