Negative experience: Very unethical and poor effort by Real Estate agent. Made an offer on a property in Douglas initially listed for offers over $679k, accepted offer by email at $725k. Requested contracts multiple times and always an excuse from the agent; seller overseas, no internet, cannot reach them and contracts are not ready. This has been over a period of 6 weeks. Today I am told the seller wants to bring forward the settlement date, therefore sorry we cannot proceed. The ethics shown and manner this has been handled indicates agent may have accepted a higher offer even though we had an acceptance in writing and his verbal delay in contracts was his way to push the price up further. Such deplorable action gives the real estate industry in Townsville a bad reputation and affects the trust of the community in the people working in it.

Negative experience: This real estate is a JOKE!!!! the secretaries manners on the phones are absolutely pathetic. I rented off these guys for 18 mths and in that time they never fixed anything in my unit but kept putting my rent up. Back in 2019 when we had the floods, my toilet kept backing up and having a young child who required a functioning toilet it took numerous attempts to have this problem fixed until I just gave up and moved out even the lady in flat 2 had similar issues especially when it came to.her shower in her unit. I would watch out when your doing your lease report and take photos before and after

Negative experience: Page & Pearce acted as the property managers for a property I purchased, for a 5 month period between settlement and the end of the tenant's lease. Although I was initially introduced to the person who would be property manager, at some point that role changed hands and I was never informed. I was sending emails into the ether. This does not at all meet my expectation of a property manager being a single point of contact. As the tenant's move-out date approached, I asked the property manager (1 of 5) to follow up with the tenant to check that he was on track to vacate. This didn't happen; the property manager was simply hoping for the best (which wasn't the outcome, predictably). During this time I was living in a caravan park with my belongings in a truck en route from down south, so the date of my own move-in was fairly time sensitive. The tenant ultimately overstayed, which I feel could have been predicted if the property manager had touched base as I requested. The tenant asked for an extension which I was in no position to grant with a truck on the way. So in the end we were both put out by the lack of communication. I rang several times to check on whether or not the keys had been returned as the tenant delayed the promised move-out a couple of times. Each time the receptionist was rude, telling me "we'll call you when the keys are ready", as though I wasn't paying night by night to live in temporary accommodation. The keys were finally returned but not the garage remote. Comically, it took the receptionist a long time to find the keys when I arrived at the office as they were recorded under a slightly different permutation of the house number than what I had quoted (it has dashes and slashes in the address and the receptionist clearly doesn't know how to wildcard search their system). She looked at me straight faced and asked if I meant to go to Explore property which is actually next door. I still cringe a little remembering how she looked at me like I was an absolute moron, and I had to stand there trying to reassure her that yes, actually, you do manage this property, though the use of the word "manage" was becoming increasingly generous. On clearing that up, the property manager said the tenant "might" return the missing garage remote on Saturday. Come Monday, I had no word on the remote, so I replaced it myself at a cost of nearly $100, which was required to expedite delivery as there was no alternative parking at the property. As it turns out, the remote was returned, but the "don't call us, we'll call you" policy on keys which was drilled into me the week prior does not apply to remotes. One of the five property managers sent me an email explaining why that is, as though I should have been a mind reader on their confusing and contradictory policies. The email ended with "hope that helps", which felt boldly passive aggressive given the existing track record for helping. When at long last my forced engagement with Page and Pearce ended and I moved into my property, I had to send one final email requesting any scrap of paperwork on the fees I'd been charged as they hadn't sent me a thing. Turns out they'd been sending them to the wrong email, which frankly felt really on-brand at that point. I know we're all human and we all make mistakes from time to time, but I was only with this organisation (another generously applied word) for 5 months and something went wrong at every step of the process. The first thing I did after my affairs with Page and Pearce wrapped up was email the last property manager I dealt with at another company and apologised for overlooking just how competent she was, having not yet been presented with a basis for comparison. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Page was charging me a lot more money for a lot less competence. I would not recommend them at all. If you're after a professional and capable property management team, then allow me to quote the Page and Pearce receptionist when I say "Explore Property is next door".

Fantastic experience: Five star rating for a fantastic experience. We contacted a few different agents in regards to selling our block of land but it was Taylar-Lee who resonated with us in regards to her professionalism and overall eagerness to help secure that sale. The whole transaction went so smoothly and the communication through out the short listing was impeccable. If your looking for an agent who is committed and a trail blazer at getting a deal done look no further and give this person your business.
