I recently purchased my first home in West End, and I couldn’t have asked for a better real estate agent than Patrice Dunne. Patrice was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. To make things even more challenging, I was overseas on holidays in Fiji while the purchase was happening — but she made everything feel seamless and stress-free. Her communication style was outstanding. She kept me informed at every stage, explained things clearly, and was always available to answer questions. Negative experience: Very disappointed with the way this was handled. I personally visited the office earlier this week to ask about the property at 14 Rodeo Drive, Mount Louisa. The front desk staff clearly informed me that no inspection had been conducted yet and that inspections would likely begin the following week. I was also advised that I could submit my application anytime during this week. I even asked if I could speak directly with the property manager, but I was told that everything “goes by department basis” and that it was not possible. Based on the information provided, I prepared all required documents and was ready to submit my application. When I called today to follow up, I was told the property had already been leased. This is extremely frustrating. If the property was already under application or close to being leased, that should have been communicated clearly. Providing inaccurate information and blocking direct communication with the property manager wasted my time and caused unnecessary stress. Professional communication and transparency are very important, especially in a competitive rental market. I hope this improves for future applicants.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience with Patrice, top notch treatment. Prompt responses to our queries even after hours of her work, so patient and easy to deal with unlike other agents who don’t reply for a long period of time. Negotiation was fair, she didn’t leave us hanging like other agents. Great market knowledge, professional and sincere, always there to assist, offered suggestions, guidance and reassurance in the whole process from buying to signing up the property for rent. Fantastic experience: Buying, selling, sold. First time I met Margaret was several years ago when I brought my second home. My thoughts were, I haven't dealt with an agent like her before. She was firm, but fair. After purchasing my second house through Margaret I was needing to sell my current house, so I went straight to Margaret who was more than happy to take on the new listing, and walk me through the process accordingly. Fantastic experience: Great advice on presentation led to great price and quick sale. And so responsive. Kym was simply fantastic. Our property wasn’t renting and the communication was poor even with my constant attempts to understand any issues with the property and feedback from prospective tenants. They visited my property that afternoon with a comprehensive list of issues that were likely putting off tenants eg. windows didn’t close, cooktop not working, A/C's not working etc etc. None of these issues were highlighted to me by the other agent even with my constant calls to understand any problems to resolve them apart from we should get the grass cut! Fantastic experience: Dedication, Enthusiasm and Truth - always WINS! I’ve worked with Helen Munro Real Estate as a client for something like 20 years. I owned 2 units in Townsville and my son 1 unit. Being an owner over all this time has been a tough time, what with more government restrictions on landlords, tough economic conditions, and above all now in Townsville, youth crime at an all time high. In this climate I made the decision to sell my investments in Townsville. In writing this review, it’s not just Kym, it’s a total team, at HMRE but Kym typifies the whole team work ethic. Leading up to the sale of my two units, I lost 3 different tenants due to 2 other units having tenants that caused a lot of damage to the complex and living conditions were not good. I also lost two sales, directly also attributed to these 2 other unit tenants. Throughout all this Kym kept me in constant updates with such a positive attitude that she would find other buyers once we sorted the building problems out. Once the problems were sorted, Kym again kept her word and found two other buyers. Again, through longer than settlements with delays she kept me fully informed, followed up various documentation that was required to help her buyers, and just had such a positive attitude with these sales. To cap it all off, I called her on a Saturday over a document. She answered her phone promptly and we discussed the issue. Normal you may be thinking - well Kym was on a holiday in Tokyo, Japan on a busy street!! That in itself typifies this lady’s dedication to her client, her determination to ensure I was happy and was kept informed. This lady, as I stated before, typifies the complete team at Helen Munro. Negative experience: Didn't want to sell a property to me as I changed property managers when I purchased my first investment property through them. Do keep in mind I gave them the opportunity to match the fees structure I had been offered elsewhere but even after sharing the price structure, I was made a worse off offer which was being sold to me as the "better" offer. I was made to prove my calculations to finally receive the same offer I was offered elsewhere. Would you trust and proceed with a property manager who made clear they don't have your best intentions at heart? Regardless, what kind of childish behavior is this?

Negative experience: Worst Real Estate ever! I would rather rent in Timbuktu than ever deal with Helen Munro Property. They don't know the condition of the property when they take over. They want you to remove ‘beware of dog’ sign that has been on the house since 1999. They bully you to ‘fast track’ bond from RTA. They leave all air conditioners on after you have moved out and before the next tenant. They speak to you like dirt. Homelessness is a blessing compared to dealing with this lot, un-Australian to the flesh!
